Also if i remember correctly for the penance stare to work you have to regret what you have done and i doubt lobo regrets any of the stuff he has done. I mean i believe punisher lived through the penance stare by simply stating he regretted nothing. Then even if my memory is wrong and that is not how it works what is GR going to do after he collects the soul it wont go anywhere and he just waits to get his body back since he cant go to heaven or hell, Ultimately it comes down to the the viewer on this one cause GR penance stare is still up in the air on who it works on some say no regrets=win some say divine protection= win.

There is one more thing you should have mentioned about Lobo. Despite how unbelievable it sounds Lobo actually possesses genius-level intelligence. You heard me right this murdering psychopath is actually a super genius. To give some proof, Lobo speaks fluently over 17, 598 alien languages, has engineered the plague that killed his home-world, as well as the antidote for himself, build a planet busting bomb out of garbage and even made complex physics calculations in his head to debunk Flash's speed and perfect moment to hit him.

Considering it’s also the miniseries where he ends up getting banned from the afterlife. I might also recommend the issue from way back when where he gets the best of Neron (essentially one of the Devils in the DC Universe) it was during an event going on at the time which had Villians selling their souls to Neron for Powerups and had lasting consequences in the DC Universe for some villians including permanent physical transformations.

Its funny how people saw Death Battle and immediately became Lobo experts. Ill tell you 3 reasons why Ghost Rider cant defeat Lobo: 1)Ghost Rider is not strong enough to damage Lobos body. And even if Zarathos is Lobo will regenerate and he regenerates always. I dont now why Death Battle made Lobo forget his healing factor and his soul appeared, but its a fact. Zarathos wouldnt be able to touch his soul bwcause he will never be able to get rid of Lobos body in the first place. 2)He cant destroy/eat Lobos soul. Universe busters like Jenny and Doctor from Authority couldnt, Neron, Lucifer, Etrigan, Zattana, Dr.Fate, whole Heaven and Hell couldnt, why Zarathos can? 3)Lobo can live without a soul. In his ongoing series he gave his soul to Neron and his body was still alive. He doesnt need a soul to be alive. He is a gag character, like Bugs Bunny. His creators Keith Giffen, Alan Grant, Simon Bisley said that. He can do whatever he wants, because he is a joke. Not like One Punch Man who is a funny character. There is a difference between funny character and joke/gag character, who can tear a comic book, kill the writer and write himself (he did that in his ongoing). If you want serious Lobo you should separate his gag version (his own series) from his little bit serious version (when he appears in other comics like L.E.G.I.O.N., Justice League). Sorry for my bad english. Like please, let all people know this.

If they actually put the Mary Poppins bag in there for that battle, Ghost Rider would have already lost because like he said, there is a lot of unpredictability in that bag. There would have been a good good chance of Lobo actually drawing a holy weapon out of that bag and using it on ghost Rider. I'm actually pissed that they skewered Lobo. The Main Man! He became my fav when him and Alpha Lantern Boodikka decided to skip the big fight to knock boots. Lobo in pink panties with lantern print was just perfect.
