First time listening to your "Variations on the Kanon" was about 7 years ago, just a 8th grade student, and I've fallen in love with it so far. I don't remember how many times I've listened, but surely hundreds of times and wished to play it completely just one time in my life. I bought a piano 7 months ago, and after period of learning and practicing it, I'm now ready to start my new journey to master your masterpiece. Someday, instead of listening, I will play it and make my dream come true. Thank George Winston for this masterpiece.

When one losses faith on humanity, through so much pain, suffering, war and destruction, one finds pieces such as this and discovers, with acceptance, that man is capable of the most beautiful and the most horrible. And understands how the esthetic beauty takes us to ethical beauty. Listening this oeuvre is being as close as possible of good.
