Great piece and performance. BTW, why are some stops wedged in place?

Thank you! I checked with Sander van den Houten, the organist of the Lutheran Church in The Hague... The wind chest of the third manual (Bovenwerk) is a kind of spring chest. The stops need to be wedged in, otherwise they'll close automatically - with a bang.

Geweldig Aarnoud! I also played it once this season! I did miss the first movement though in your recording here! ;) And I'm amazed how at how well this "contemporary" music is presented on this "historical" instrument! It's a wonderful combination! 👌😍

Aha, now I remember... You're right, I did not record the first part, because it did not sound quite right on this organ (with a compass of only 4 octaves).
