Franz Liszt - Nicolò Paganini: Variations sur Le Carnaval de Venise de Paganini, S.700
The Variations sur Le Carnaval de Venise de Paganini is, as it's title indicates for, is a set of 17 variations based on one of the popular themes from the Italian folklore, it is believed that Liszt was influenced by Paganini himself after he went to one of his concertos in paris arround 1831, Paganini was performing his own set of variations on this iconic theme (Introduzione e Variazioni sul Carnevale di Venezia) there. The piece was written in 1843 but the only existant manuscript remains on a copyist manuscript doubtfully by Eduard Lassen and it is held at Goethe und Schiller archiv.
As an extra from the manuscript it ends with a reprise of the first 5 notes from the theme iself indicating to add extra variations to begin with the piece again and repeat forever but it is also suggested to skip those notes and conclude with the piece.
This is also a remake from the unlisted video of the same piece 2 years ago
