Varicose veins in children

Children can get varicose veins - it is not just an adult condition. Many children end up with bad varicose veins because parents, doctors and nurses think that children are "too young" to get severe venous reflux and varicose veins.
Although not common in children, if varicose veins do occur and cause symptoms, they should be investigated and treated just as they would be in an adult.
