Wilfred Brambell was an amazing character actor and never teally got the credit he deserved in my opinion. Hearing him speak you’d never think it was the same person. In the days when actors had talent, nowadays half of them just play themselves.

Agreed. Now as an adult i can appreciate Brambles true acting skills. Nobody can sneer, leer, or ''letch'', like Wilfred Bramble. Mustn't forget Corbet. A great actor also.

I lived in Hounslow West in 1963 and Steptoe and Son was my favorite program. Laughter and joy always had me when watching the Tele with a great cast and wonderful writers and I know we were all truly blessed by them and I thank you always.

@James Henderson For over 8 years as James Henderson and the alias Harold Jameson you have done nothing but made slanderous comments about Harry H Corbett. A solicitor is putting together everything you have said. Enough is enough.

Yeah I thought that, Sarah. For two actors who (apparently) didn't get along, they seem to be having some good banter here; their body language seems jovial, not hostile

Galton and Simpson have steadfastly denied that they hated each other and said that whilst they came from two different walks of life and never socialised together, and did disagree over certain things, they never had any significant or lasting arguments and worked well together. I saw an interview with Harry H Corbett’s daughter who also denied any significant fall-outs and that they both respected one another enormously.

The late great Wilfrid Brambell and Harry H. Corbett alias Steptoe & Son , The comedy classic sitcom from the 1960s and 70s. They don't make greats like this anymore, more the pity.

Everyone in the comment section is commenting on Brambell's "English" accent. That "All I can say is, I don't believe it" is Dublin with a capital D. The rest, admittedly, is rp, but he was from that generation that strove to speak in such a manner.
