Man. Sandman is up there proud as can be. Not for the award. But showcasing his daughters. You can see it in his cadence. His eyes. His laugh. Smile. The man has dedicated his life to making other people laugh their assss off. And here he is up there. Reading something his young daughters prepared for him. Laughing his ass off. So wholesome to see and feel. Thats a dream come true in its own right.

Rob Schneider was interviewed on TV here in NZ a few years back when he was doing a stand up tour. He was very funny and charming. It was hilarious when he was asked about his movies and he described Sandler phoning him, "what are ya doin tomorrow". He said Sandler's movies were just an excuse for the boys to get together and it was the easiest money he ever made. Only ever had to learn four lines, "You can do it!!"

I dont see why people doubt they wrote it. I’m not sure about Adam, but Jim Carey, Dave Chappelle, Robin Williams, Richard Pryor etc were all performing at comedy clubs as young as 16 years old. That’s some serious stage experience. Writing a funny speech should be easy for the teenage daughter of a pro comic.

All of them isn't memorable tbh. They are a 6/10 at best.. Which is good. I consider movies like Django, The Big Lebowski, Napoleon Dynamite etc a 7-9/10 ... Only movie that I have ever given a 10/10, is the LOTR trilogy. I have them all 3 in extended version in full 4k on my computer. They are about 125 gb EACH... It is such an experience watching them.

Does he use that voice when talking to his kids? I'm a dad and I use different voices...that voice... My impression of that voice...I use a voice sometimes when I'm talking to my kids and I'm convincing myself to not dish out the abuse I received as a child so I can teach them to be better people and not be afraid of their daddy. They’re 14 & 16 ! Have you spoken to any teenagers? Let me explain basic comedy to you. When telling a joke, sometimes it's funnier to pretend that it actually happened to you rather than just reciting the story. E.g. instead of saying "a guy walked into a bar ..." you start the joke by saying "I walked into a bar..." and then tell the joke as if it really happened. If the person you're telling the joke has an IQ above 50, they will understand you are telling a joke. They won't respond with "fake". So that's what he's doing here. No one really believes his daughters wrote his speech, but it's funnier to pretend they did rather than just having Adam Sandler make those jokes about himself.
