You guys, Isabelle doesn't need to get recognized by Hollywood. She's well known in pretty much everywhere, she has won prizes from all over the world that has a lot more meaning than the Globes or whatever. The truth is that some people in the U.S. don't know who she is because they don't care about foreign actors. And Hollywood has been a reflection of that for years and years, which is a shame cause you guys have no idea of how many talents you're missing out because of that.

Most of the European Movies are Art Movies, show class an are really great movies, on the other way the USA movies has lost everything and are very rough movies and with so low themes ver vulgar and to much killing and roughly way.

I honestly was rooting for Natalie, but I wasn't disappointed. Isabelle has been ignored for years and she finally gets the recognitions she deserves.

I am actually and totally agree with you. She's way too forgotten and I was for Amie which is another one forgotten actress with awards.

Natalie portman?????? ...these comments cannot be taken seriously.
@taliaprice19097 жыл бұрын
She hasn't been ignored in France and the rest of the world, it just takes Hollywood such a long bloody time to see real talent and to see real actors.
@HabituallyObsessed7 жыл бұрын
She brings her films to Cannes/Berlin/Venice every year, sometimes multiple films per year. She's by far the most prolific actress in the world today. Forgotten is not the word you want to associate with her.
@FerDeLaParra7 жыл бұрын
I was obviously talking about Hollywood.. not that these american awards mean shit to her, but probably more people will see her work and that makes me happy for her.

Isabelle Huppert was espetacular in this movie! Besides that, she also deserved this award for her great career and other magnificent portraits such as in The Piano Teacher. I'm so glad she finally had her work celebrated in the US. You go miss Huppert!!!!!

I’m confused by the lackadaisical response of this press room. The greatest living actress just walked into the room after winning and no one seems to care. Is she not liked?

I was so hoping for this! Huppert's win continues the growing feeling that Paris is the new epicenter of cinema as art, rather than Hollywood. First, the French have the real talent, secondly, they don't limit their awards to US and British actors only, thirdly women are treated with respect despite their ages and actors from other countries are cast more. Hope she takes the Oscar.

I'm sick of Natalie Portman hype, idiots were saying she deserved the award before Jackie even came out. People don't even know what acting means, they think it's about doing a Halloween performance in the Meryl Streep vein hence Portman getting all kind of undeserved praise.

@nyc42337 жыл бұрын
You can't possibly put "subpar" and "Isabelle Huppert" in the same sentence! Portman plays in a biopic with references of a character we all know, Huppert start from scratches and deliver an amazing performance! She is also one of the most respected and talented actress in the world! It's about time the US wake up to her talent!

Portman got robbed
@telenlaces7 жыл бұрын
Vic Allen Chanel Oberlin shes doesn't got robbed ,Jackie was a extremely cartoonish portrait, she has better performances than Jackie, and the film itself it's quite dull and lacks of passion, Elle in the other hand its astonishing, Huppert it's a true acting legend.
