Congratulations Uncle Charlie! I had the honor to play bass behind him at a Jr. High School in 1996 promoting abstinence from alcohol & drugs while I was in rehab. I could have never imagine me on stage with the best vocalist of his genre. Watching him warm up before only 2 song was jaw dropping. It’s was only two songs? Regardless he warmed up! So professional…. Love you man! ❤ Oh, his wife was no joke at the rehab as a counselor. She went toe to toe with killers. Much love to her.❤

I think Ronnie & Robert deserve recognition as The G.A.P. Band that Charlie is also known for. I thought they were brothers or something! All thru the 70s, all “industries” & entities ever did was break-up the bands & isolate “soloists.” I guess that was doing “better” than the Tulsa story, though. I’ll never forget how a friend and I would be playing “Early In The Morning” in the car , we would stop at a stop light , get out of the car , start dancing , then rush to get back in the car once the light turned green 😆.
