as he quoted on an Instagram reel a year back regarding his desktop: "organized chaos", which maybe was of some inspiration for his new album "Comfort in Chaos"? Just a guess though.

This is why I respect John Summit he’s not a gatekeeper. He shares his presets and process. It’s wild how life turns out, because I remember watching his tutorials, not realizing who he’d become today. Honestly, some of us probably have hidden gems sitting on our laptops. It's a bit selfish, though, because we put countless hours into our craft, even when it’s just a hobby that brings us joy. It only takes that one song & it can change your whole life.
@Markreid7163 ай бұрын
Deep end started his career then he kept the momentum by releasing banger underground tracks, following hits like where you are and shiver to put him on the map internationally. Yes 1 song can blow you up, but to keep the momentum going is the tuff part.
@Markreid7163 ай бұрын
Acraze had do it to it and he blew him up but do you think he took advantage of the exposure the same way summit did with hit after hit?
@edwinbob94833 ай бұрын
@@Markreid716 It’s hard to say, both Summit and Acraze blew up through remixes, with TikTok playing a role in their rise. However, I feel like John Summit has a stronger catalog more originals, better ideas, I guess. Sometimes, you just have to let the music speak, but maybe you're right Acraze didn’t fully capitalize on his moment. Branding and team behind an artist can also make a huge difference. Take a look at Mau P, for example, he rebranded after being known as Maurice West. There could be many factors at play, but Acraze is still performing shows, so he seems to be doing well regardless.
@Markreid7163 ай бұрын
@@edwinbob9483 no doubt acraze is well relevant in the dance space, summit just happens to sell out MSG 3 nights in a row thru the fanbase he obtained throughout the years. Not many know but there’s no way people actually think summit is making the records all by himself. He obviously has help by guys like gorgon city and others while getting on tour lol

Simple production technique, but you can tell he has a very advanced sense of musicality. Those “simple” chords that he begins the project with are not simple I’m blown away that he managed to come up with this track from just those root chords

How To Make A Simple Reese Bass: Choose a SAW wave (Operator, Serum, etc.), lower cut off to around 200hz (EQ), add unison (anywhere from 6 to 12 voices), put 120hz and below in mono using the Ableton utility tool. You can use two oscillators as well. Hope this helps guys!

I think John’s talent really shines when he is discovering others talent, collaborating and polishing, keeping things simple but absolutely perfecting. Whether with vocalists or other artists he’s signing to his record label, he is really keeping the bangers coming in the most epic way. And the vibe curation at his shows of course go absolutely DUMMY (been to 4 of his shows as of yesterday and counting 😂)
