There won't ever be any inspirational songs like these that bring our ppl together because it will continue to be the last thing thats needed and/or wanted on this country. I know a lot of ppl will hate on me for the things that I'm saying but it's common knowledge that we as black ppl were never meant to stand on our own. Yes, we have made great strides in this country but the underlying reality is still there ... we are still looked at as being less than (I really don't care who wants to deny this or say that I'm living in the past) and we see it every day. We are not supposed to be smart and articulate ... we are just supposed to follow the status quo and allow ourselves to be dumbed down (i.e. all the mumble rap that gets played on the radio now... and damn near nothing else)... Wow! I hadn't planned on typing all this ... but in a nutshell ... we know our freedom and piece of mind is important to us and we as a ppl need to do what we can to hold on to it.
