Viral Zero That's not true, I don't know on which platform you play but on xbox, when I invaded in oolacile township or the burg, I always had some really good duels. Of course I faced gankers and also cheaters and darkmoonblade falchions, but the most people I fought didn't use a buff at all, they just wanted to have fun and some good fights. In dks2 the most people just don't care about anything and want to win, they most likely do everything for that, which is the reason why I can't have fun in dks2 :(

Having been able to experience Dark Souls 1 at it's beginning/peak is probably the most wonderful gaming memory i have. exploring the game with the community; discovering the hidden mechanics both for pve & pvp; making sense of the lore.... unfortunately this is something that could never be replicated

FFS, how are you so inhumanly fast in the menus?! i can barely do a ring swap on it's own and just switch a weapon in addition to it as if it was nothing. also, when you open the menu and want to go from inventory to equip, there is usually a huge delay (which is the main reason i struggle with swaps a lot) but i dont see any delay here o.O is there sth i'm doing wrong?

Am I the only one who finds the roll system in Dark Souls II stupid? You can get away with wearing the heaviest armor ever, not fat roll, and with adaptability you can still dodge everything. With Soul Memory, you can pump your stats into about anything as much as you want. In DKS1 you would most likely go to medium roll and that was completely different from fast roll and it completely changed your dodging.

Things from DS2 I wish were in DS1: - Guard Break riposte - Backstab nerf - No TWOP - No DWGR - 2Handed Parries If it wasn't for that SM bullshit I'd play DS1 a lot less.

- Backstabs do far more damage in Dark Souls II. Good luck surviving a Mundane Shadow Dagger backstab - Promised Walk of Peace is in Dark Souls II. Not as powerful, but the range is now 5x larger than it was in Dark Souls I. - Who cares? 120 AGL gives you more s than the DWGR. - Less than 1% of the playerbase even tries two handed parries. You mess up, well say goodbye to 80% of your HP due to the shit poise system.

Backstabs take a lot longer to proc, the animation needs to startup first. Of course there are still crazy lagstabs in DS2 but it's less of a problem than the constant BS fishing in DS1. PWOP is a dlc spell I didn't knew existed (not that pissed you spoiled it, more pissed that it exists). If it's as OP as TWOP was in DS1 then I'd be really angry. 120 agility is a major stat investment into attunement and adaptability. In fact you need 99 in both stats to reach that value. That's barely comparable to the DWGR. If you're overleveling by that much you deserve to be OP. And theres other things like the duration, distance, stamina use and recovery of the flip animation vs a roll. If you mess up a normal parry you'd probably die to good players too. These were all just things I liked from DS2 and thought improved on the franchise and, when playing DS1, I realise that the PvP would be a lot more fun with them. I think From did a great job on these things DESPITE having backtracked in a few other places. The way I see DS2 is kind of like the dev team spent less time on the things they did well in DS1 too improve the things they did badly. Not saying that's justified but I would say they accomplished some things well. Hope they combine the good elements from both games to make something amazing in the next installment.
