Various Translink Bus Take Offs + Short Random Clip

This is a compilation video I've been working on for the past few months and I thought I would share it with you guys. I thought of maybe trying out a bus take off video. We start off with the West Vancouver buses, Burnaby buses, Poco buses, Richmond buses, Surrey buses, Vancouver buses, and end it off with a short random clip. In the random clip the bus driver is cutting though the parking lot because up ahead a car accident occurred and police have blocked off the intersection. So instead of going around the block as wasting time, he just cut through the parking lot for a short cut. So yea, nevertheless enjoy.

1998 D40LF R3294 has a newer Detroit Diesel Series 50 engine from early 2000's that slightly quieter than the 1990's Loud Series 50 engine used on 1995-2000 D40LF. Our SEPTA's 2001-2002 D40LF sounded like that.

@seClip9: It got refitted with a S50 EGR engine in 2009, after being converted from running on CNG. It previously had a S50G engine.

I saw an Orion V on Boundary and Hastings in Burnaby, it was a week ago I can't remember what the number was but it had the "R" prefix

It was most likely a bus from the FOH.

Something sad, only 14 1995 D40LF's are left in service and 67 Active 1996 D40LF's.

Ninja Bus Fan actually 5 of the Retired 1995 D40LF's are going to BC Transit and 6 1996 D40LF's, also I'm sure when the 97 gets retired I'm sure some of PCTC's D60LF's are going to be transferred to BTC like when the 98 was Retired.

Elevator Dude From Vancouver Where are those 11 buses at ? Because at OTC there is about 9 buses or 10 including 957. I think some will be transferred out but by then the 1999 D60LF's will be starting to phase out and be replaced with either XD60's or XDE60's. The 1998's are going to be gone by the end of next year.

Ninja Bus Fan idk where the 11 buses are at, also are u sure Translink is gonna replace the 1998 and 1999 D60LF's after only 16 years, they kept the E900's for 24 years

Elevator Dude From Vancouver I got 11 buses from the number of 1995 and 1996 buses that are currently stored at OTC. Yes I'm sure, a pilot buses will arrive late next year and that order of 21 buses will replace the 21 1998 D60LF's. Also there is 2 other options as well in 2016 and 2017 that'll replace the 1999 and 2000 D60LF's. If you notice many of our D60LF's are worn out and are breaking down quite often.

My favorites are the D60LF's with the S50's. They sound great. Are most of the D40LF's from 1996? I saw a few cute Asian girls (I hate using the word "Asian" though; too general). What transmissions do those DE60LF's have?

Yea, those sound really nice. I'm thinking of uploading one as my next video. In this video most would be from 1998 and 1999, but in part 2 ( dont know when I'll upload it ) most would be from 1995 and 1996. You did, where ? The DE60LFR's would have an Cummins ISL engine and Allison EP50 Hybrid transmission.

Yea, do you want a 1998, 1999, or a 2000 ?Yea they are, the last cool buses IMO still running around here. Oh really, I only saw like 3 when B8109 was taking off.

WVMT's 1995 NFI D40LFs are so ugly to me inside and out, and I don't like the fact that a DD50 engine has Voith

Well the insides are pretty much just like CMBC 1995, 1996, and 1998 D40LF's and the paint scheme was pretty identical to the days when BC Transit operated Metro Van. Also 964 was the only 1995 WVMT NFI D40LF in this video, both 993 and 997 are 1999 NFI D40LF's.
