If only I were the German soldier at 11:19, I would through the bushes with my buddy instead of on the road, so then when we get to the enemy's flank, they're done.

Lol. Visual cue. Vic Morrow (Sarge Chip Saunders) stepping over the stick at 3:19 was a cue for the sound man to make a noise. Notice Saunders, knowing it was a cue, stepped slightly further over that stick than previous steps. Watch closely. There are similar visual cues throughout this series.

I have watched a handful of war movies. The combats platoon was protade with men of discipline and compassion. With actors such as Mr. Morrow and Mr. Jason.

Yeah the BAR became the favorite weapon of the Mafia back in the day along with the Tommy Gun. The BAR, shooting a 30-06 Springfield, had better penetrating power than the Tommy which shot 45s. So whenever the Mafia wanted to do a drive by shootup of a cop car they used a BAR. It was eventually replaced with the M249 SAW(Squad Automatic Weapon) used today.

Does anyone remember during the B&W episodes that Saunders had a brother fighting in the Pacific theater in Okinawa? Remember how distraught Saunders was after receiving a letter informing him his brother was reported missing in action in the Okinawan campaign??? So, how many brothers did Chip Saunders have fighting in WWII??

I think there's a difference between green and stupid. I understand about following orders, but without calculated risks and individual initiative, no battle can be won. The kid did alright. He stayed under cover, put well-aimed shots on the targets, and saved his fellow soldier's life. Saunders can be admired for wanting to protect the kid, but he's there to fight, just like everybody else. You can only protect the green ones for so long. Then, you have to find out how fast they learn and adapt. Was there a good tactical reason for the kid to be left behind for support? Probably. But when somebody's life hangs in the balance, you take calculated risks. Saunders would have done the same thing. War is hell.

Anyway, he shot so accurately, too accurately! The target was also stayed under cover but still got shot - If I were the German soldier, I would absolutely shocked and not content to die, how the fuck is this possible?! Unbelievable!
