Madam, I want to express the same sentiment expressed by others here. "Listing price" has confused the whole thing ! As someone else has posted, we are going for 'rights buy' only if we are interested in a fundamentally sound stock with future prospects bright, available to the share holder at a good discount. Your Buy / Sell discussion is valid only for those who want to Sell the RE.

I guess it is the price the market is willing to pay for the entitlement. If it is at a premium to what you calculate as RE price you get some profit. If it is lower, you will only lose and it's better to get share in hand. Anyway all this is relevant if you don't want the stock

I guess the value of the stock is lowered to 204 from 210 in the same the price is lowered after paying a dividend or after a stock split. I am not sure of it, but I feel this is what that happens.

@@prabhathpotnuru9091 But how can i calculate profit of buying stock of Rs 150 against stock price of Rs 204 (adjusted value). Shouldn't it be against Rs. 210 as the value of stock only becomes 204 after adjusted with my portifolio before buying this stock. That doesn't mean I bought all my shares at Rs. 204, I bought it for 210. so i don't understand why the difference is being calculated against a share value which i never had. sure in future if i bought it, further rights will be calculated against 204 but not this one

Guys need ur suggestions and correct me if necessary Today i received Franklin industries RE shares Cmp - 7.5 Shares - 1090 RE shares received - 3270(1:3 ratio) Issue price - 3.58 So by calculation RASP vll be 3270x3.58 + 1090x7.5 / 3270+1090 = 4.6 So value of 1RE should be 4.6-3.58 = 1 approx And today value of 1RE share is 2.15 So i should sell right?

One question I am not getting an answer for, is that if a rights entitled person (who applied and bought RE shares) sells them, who buys them and why. If somebody buys these RE shares, it must be for some profit speculation. So it will be better to hold these shares.
