I literally can't stand playing the game for more than 1-4 games in a row (most of the time one or two) because no matter how hard I save with heals and shields or catch, I literally never get 3+ honors, and even one honor is rare, and when I do play bad, or just my ADC sucks, I get flamed.

9:54 Fun fact: As a support you can do everything right and achive nothing. Your vision is only useful as long as your teammates look at the map or listen to your pings. You can cc someone for ages and your teammate can follow up way too late. You can put everything on your teammate and they can still lose because they are bad. Thresh's lantern might be the best example, where they rather die than take the lantern lol. Supports have the highest potential to effect the game, but that potential depends on their team. A double sided blade.

yessssir Vars definitely looks at the game from an optimal PoV meaning that everyone is playing their best (and, honestly, sounds more like pro play) but this is why picks like brand (and in other lanes, nasus and garen) are so good in low elo bc no one knows how to play the fucking game

When he said these types of supports can make or break a teamfight, win or lose the game, I felt that, but like... only if the team knows how to follow up. I am a Sona main whose secondary mains are Lulu and Janna, and let me tell you... the amount of fucking set-ups I have made with these champs, only for my ADCs not to follow through, *really* exceeds an acceptable amount. Even when I play Leona, I can hit so many perfect stuns--keeping the enemy in-place for nearly EIGHT SECONDS in the late-game--only for my ADC to focus farming and miss last-hitting a cannon minion. A bad team can throw an easy game...

As a support main in every and any kind of team based game. This is true, and the main reason for why people don't like playing support. For every ten games any good support plays in league... At least 4 you will have horrible teammate that int or afk or just don't belong in that rank. But for the other 6 you are the amplifier that will let your team steamroll the other one. That's why so many supports have really high winrates for seemingly no reason, and why almost all off-meta picks that actually work are X champion playing support. They payoff is worth it, but it's hard to see past negativity bias. Nobody ever feels like they carried a game as support, because the better a support player you are, the more youre letting your teammates succeed. It takes a specific mindset to actually have fun playing support, and even then it's a very acquired taste

My friends friends and I have a running joke of saying "I did it alone" when we get a good move as a team: it comes from an old game when a friend played Leona and did an amazing combo grating our Jinx a quadrakill. Everybody else in our and the ennemy team was like "wow gg Jinx" and she was like "haha thanks". Nobody was paying attention to the Leona

As a support main, imo it's the easiest to get honors as long as you are there is a clear indication that you are the deciding factor that wins fight. This helps if you play champs where it very obvious you are doing the work like funnelling massive heals into the carry or silencing the fed Katarina's ult as Soraka or a hard engage champ like Leona locking down the fed enemy

I think the bigger problem in solo queue is that ppl aren't paying attention to all 9 other players. Controllers shouldn't be the only ones paying attention to everyone.

I mean everyone has some role, Some champs need to focus when to engage or well position themselves, sometimes only controllers can do what ur talking about And if ur talking about map control then no, not only controllers have to do that/do that

Knowing ur allies' position, their hp/mana/resource levels, cooldowns/damage rotations, effective range, etc would avoid a lot of situations where some1 just runs in and suicides. It would definitely make the lives of controllers easier and probably prevent the ADCs from actively trying to kill themselves.

NO the last thing i want is that akali to know imma save my q specificaly for when she uses r on my backline. Same aplies for many champs. This instead of helping would only make things worse for us supports. Is way harder to win if everyone acounts for 9 people instead of their role( thats mostly pro play already and we all saw how those games are) . My point is id rather have people focused on their roles and me focused on how to proper deal with that then the extra attention that could be trow into my direction.

It hypes me up a whole lot! imma Top/Support main, play mostly juggernauts like Sett and Yorick ( can tank like tanks, but do fighter dmg, since no one in my low mmr/elo likes to frontline anymore, they all want dmg and more flashy moves ) As supp i play the edgy lulu-like, disengage queen Renata Glasc, Janna with glacial to reduce the whole enemy teams dmg, Shurleya on Soraka so my R is Sivir ult, Braum and Ali for peelin a storm, Leona and Blitz with Kai sa and Samira means the enemy need to play safe, or die during each all inn! Make more supports Riot! more flashy ones like Rakan, edgy ones like Miss Glasc!

yeah, but i think this is OK, but her mana cost in early and her low defensiv stats are to hard i think. I main her since end of 2015 (1,1 Million points expirience) and at this time I think she needs a buff. It is so hard to keep distance when nearly ever champ has at least 1 dash.

Sona is getting a mini rework, apparently. From what I read her q and w will give "accelerando stacks" which gives ms and at max stacks it will lower r cd. She will probably get more changes and this might not be final, since I think I read it from a leak? I don't remember, it was a week ago, but if it's true it sounds cool to me, as someone that hasn't played her much but appreciates the character.

So you feel very accomplished for pulling off somethint slick. In MMO's it's much less dynamic so I feel nothing if I won whack-a-mole with health bars but get frustrated if my dps runs in guns blazing, dies, then expects a revive I've been saving for someone else.

I saw from the wards I placed the enemy adc and support is going there too. I pinged and everything. We were so close to killing them. I usually buy an Umbral for vision control, and then either Locket if they have squishy burst champs, or Moonstone if they have tanky champs. Then an Ardent or Staff based on my team comp, and Wardstone for that insane vision control. I also take Aery as the keystone since Glacial kinda falls off and if you play smart you don't really need it to stack. Yeah, my teammates sometimes flame me for this, but it works for me pretty well and I don't really see how Kraken would be useful when we already have an ADC. Senna is supposed to be a "heal and harm" champion and not a "harm and even more harm" one.

The only person that appreciates supports are the people directly benefiting from them. When I boost my Mid Kat and she goes 17-3 no one says good job Sona! When you run into that one grateful person after about 300 games. Keep that person in your friend list, play with them. It's for the sake of your sanity as a support main. Even if they're not the best player in the world, a carry that appreciates you is infinitely more fun to play with than a better carry who'll give you cr ap

Controllers aren’t popular because you need to be a team player and the LoL community is selfish. Teammates can go 20/4 and lose because they cant play macro but then flame the rest of the team for being uncarryable.

I'd say it's for the same reason but bc of different outcome. If you play supports but your carries don't pop off, not much you can do. Independent carry Champs do best in soloq because you can still maybe scrap a win with the worse team

"Sometimes, everyone your team has negative brain cells, and no matter how much you try to make it easier for them to win, they just not going to be able to do so." That's a fact. I remember one time when I was playing Thresh and I was roaming with my ADC and Jungle in hopes that we'll find the ADC since she just completely ripped through us on our last two teamfights. I managed to find her alone taking red so I hooked her, flashed W'd to my ADC and my Jungle was Zac so he can just jump but instead of targeting the enemy ADC that I cc chained, the two of them immediately when for the top laner that was a minion and the support as soon as they showed up and engaged on me. The reason why she is a support is because of her damage is high for her low income. The best way to stop these midlane mages coming to support is a to nerf support gold. Just only one example: Assassins want to kill the ADC in teamfight. A fed Zyra can ignore the ADC and carry the fight herself, but a not so fed Zyra can ult on top of ADC to cover them.

I have to say though: The flame I've gotten has drastically reduced. I don't know if this is because of how I play but even in all chat I rarely see the enemy team flame their support. 99% of the time it's jungle that get's flamed. The other 1% is if a top laner runs it down and the other one is 1v5ing every time.

I find it interesting that you would call ivern a catcher, as his shield and damage when combined with moonstone, or using ardent or sofw can turn him into a powerful enchanter on his own. I think of him more as a mix between. I am an ivern main, and I find him as a very interesting case, as he is the only real support jungler, sometimes in soloq my laners have no clue how to play around me and my abilities, but when they do, oh boy it goes well.

the issue with a controller top is that they are usually ranged and have cc so they are super safe, and then while they harass you down all the time, it doesn't matter what you do to them because come mid game they will just do things that don't rely on having gold. so it's more just like a ranged top laner that you can't ever beat but one that beats you super slowly.

I have said this before in a pool where it was asked what the easiest role and most people picked support but for what it is worth support is hard. Like really hard. Most people just assume it is easy as they can pick a champ and then lean back for a decade and a half and have good stats as they never fought or applied pressure anywhere for their team. But hey stats say he played well so easy clap role amirite? A good or bad support can easily break a game not to mention the botlane. This, for me personally, has come to a point where i usually play a supportive role even in midlane and have really good success. As said in the Video there are so many carry threats that are being picked on every lane that an additional controller in Midlane can be a godsend for everyone in the team. As awkward as an Rakan mid or even an more supportive tank ChoGath in midlane may seem it works wonders with the carries in just about every other role.

I hate the "enchanter get carry" shit. I dare any player to actually land a good Janna tornado or ult, or try to survive as Soraka or Sona. Even try to land a Morgana bind and time the blackshield. While yeah there are some that are easier to play like Yuumi or Lulu, they still have their skill ceiling. Yuumi has to survive the early mana drought and Lulu has to know when to use their abilities perfectly. And as a support player is way easier to play Leona or Nautilus than any of the enchanters.

Hmm. I also main support, but I would say Leona, Nautilus, Thresh and every other "tank-engage-support" are more difficult to play than enchanter. As a engage support YOU have to win the lane and YOU have to decide whether to take a team fight or not. Also when you are behind as a engage-tank-support you have a really bad standing because you are not tanky enough to survive a longer time when you are in the middle of the enemy. Enchanter play totally different. The laning phase is more chill because normally you are not the one to engage. Often you just poke a bit and prevent the enemy from doing dmg to your adc. Playing enchanter is more retroactive I would say. You wait for someting to happen and then you react. At least for ME this seems to be easier and when I play Enchanter I have the feeling that I don't have so much to do to become usefull as I would have playing Thresh, Leona, Nautilus, Pyke etc...

I can safely say that amongst everyone other than support mains people think supports are useless. But you talk to anyone who's played a decent amount of support and they will agree that the role carries more than any other role. It might be an ego thing but I always hear "top lane has no impact", "ADC in current year lol", "mid / jungle doesn't matter when my team is useless" but I never see support mains flame their role unless they main something like Soraka or Yuumi who actually do fuck all without a team go backup.
