From bulky cyborg to twink bot

ooh thats so sad that the generic robot man that riot pulled out when the game lore was almost nonexistent has been replaced by a original concept. people want ironman!

The old Viktor kinda just looks like a guy wearing a suit, like Iron Man or something, but that's only my opinion and I think they honestly should have just made the new one a free or cheap skin then people could choose based on preference (I can't speak on how he plays now cause I do not play LoL)

as a hecarim player that has played both versions, it's safe to say that the Q spammy version is way better than the wild rift chargeup, sometimes it just takes too long to charge in fights, yes I know it can be released way earlier, but the spammy Q has more consistent damage output compared to wildrift.

Riot only changed Viktor because they saw $$$ from the people who wanted the twink from Arcane. If they make other champions a twink in something very popular, they'll change them as well.

I’m kinda done with this whole arcane arc honestly. Idk why it has to seep into the League of legends game. Riot wants to make league a lore rich environment…. But literally none of the lore has anything to do with “League of Legends.” Summoners don’t exist, the league of legends literally doesn’t make any sense in the lore. It’s so disjointed and the direction of the lore is a genuine mistake in my opinion. They are telling stories not about league, just involving league characters. Why do they need to update everything in the game to match?

I feel like sticking closer to old Viktor's lore and just polishing it up like it felt like they were doing with all the champions in season 1 could've worked really well for Arcane's story instead of just making him space Jesus. I hated the apocalyptic threat aspect of the arcane and it being pretty much the void 2.0. It felt like they really wanted epic Marvel style stuff, but they just did not have the time for that kind of story. I think the character and class struggle focus was what made Arcane season 1 good and it would've been perfectly fine to scale things back and not have a big, flashy, apocalyptic threat. They also had concept art in the Arcane art book where arcane Jesus Viktor is at least more robotic and armored like old Viktor, looking like a mix between the two. Idk why they didn't just do that instead of making him some weird alien guy with abs and a split face. I think the thing I hate most about the new design is the mask, it just looks like he has a ridiculously wide nose and mouth. Imo it looks dumb and ugly on an otherwise good design (if it wasn't supposed to be Viktor). Also I hate that now any champ could be changed to something almost completely different from their original concept just because a show writer thinks they're too tropey, problematic, or inferior compared to his ideas.

Not a VGU...its an ASU...they made a machine viktor in his concept but decided to turn him into a generic mage with abs.

I think we could stand to have more silence in the game. It's a great defense CC that could be given to more reactive classes (wardens, for instance) to fill out their abilities without cramming each ability with hard cc or the same soft cc ad nausem.

I worry when old champs I play get reworked. It's a 50/50 on if you get an awesome evolution of a champ (warwick or Fiddle) or a left field mess. Like if they ever get to Cho? Is he gonna stay a BIG AF blocker who protects his team with some pretty good CC and his bulk, or are they gonna change him to be some weird skimisher or something. Iunno, and it freaks me out.

I think Arcane Viktor being ported in and "converted" is fine with how loose league lore has been in the past. I just wish they'd do like Trundle or Karma and give us the traditional skin.

viktors arc is why arcane cant be higher than a 6 outta 10 for me. the whole thing makes no sense (the timeline thing) on so many levels theres just too many plotholes, he looks ugly and like u said has nothing to do with the viktor we knew and were excited to see come to life. it truly showed how they fumbled by cutting the show 3 seasons short...

He just isnt viktor. If they reworked him completely fair enough, but this just aint it

I just wanna know why they didn’t just opt to give him two skins like they did with the other champions from Arcane. He already has one for his season 2 look, why not one more and just hand it out for free like they did a few years ago. The base skin looks “different yet the same” enough like the other first set of Arcane skins.

Veigar is my first main and I like his endgame sooo much! Essentially, you turn into a walking trap for carries. You can just sit in a bush, see a carry and then do E>W>Q>(optional)R and then there's no carry xd

Gnar is the only one thats fair, really high cd on his dash so if you have a dash and you force his dash you will have the threat for 22 seconds , he has low range, forced to go melee, and in mini he is very squishy early on

Noob champs are absolutely necessary for learning things that are independent of the champ, like last hitting, map awareness, rotating to help out the jungler in a river fight and when to recall. Playing objectively braindead champ Garen made it very easy for me to learn those because a kindergardener can understand his kit and it leaves time for micro and macro things which are not second nature for new players

It all stems from the writing team getting fired with the exception of the three least talented staff. Season 2 was a series of poorly connected fanfictions full of inconsistencies and plot holes along with absolutely ugly redesigns. That's something we can just live with, but having it fuck with pre-existing characters like real Viktor isn't ok. People bought skins for HIM, not this gaunt new twink, but now if they don't like the new one that money is gone.

personally I disagree. While I agree that the lack of cohesion between viktors abilities was a cool part of his old design and doesn’t really fit the new one I think this was mostly based on precedent. If Riot is attempting to make a universe that spans over games and shows and movies and books and comics than stuff has to be consistent amongst all the properties. Similar reason why they will likely do some harder to swallow retcons further down the line. For it to be a real universe it has to be consistent, can’t pick and choose what parts of the universe exist in what mediums, that’s how we ended up with slightly incoherent retconned to shit plot hole filled lore in the first place.
