These antennas are pretty great performers but... they’re fragile. The short antenna will will break after getting bumped around a few times because any movement is directly transferred to the pcb it’s soldered to. Easy fix, just use some epoxy to lock it into place. The longer antenna is fine as is

thanks for the info. i added some epoxy around the lower antenna and the plastic case.
