with time it has been proven that when small directors such as Anurag Kashyap, Vasan bala, Vikram Aditya,etc work with big banners their films underperform. that is why after Bombay Velvet, Anurag went to back to making movies in a controlled budget environment. I feel these directors dont get to fulfill their vision when working with big producers, they have to compromise, which shows in the final product
@Besties59128 күн бұрын
First of all Alia wasn’t only an actor on the project, she was producer and also Karan johar was the producer and they’re shamelessly making Vasan Bala the face of failure.. while both of them have moved on like nothing happened. Like they even erased Sadak 2 from people’s memory they’ll do that for Jigra like that movie didn’t happen at all. Similarly heart of stone after her terrible outing in Bollywood

butttttt, I loved the movie, such a beautiful film, everything in this film so good ! alia is so so good and so is vedang raina ! so many scenes made me cry ! the music is good and the action is also well choreographed and damnnn ! the climax was a rollercoaster ride, it kept me on the edge of my seat and made me cry as well. so i absolutely loveddd this movie ! 🥺
@awakenization29 күн бұрын
I think the film didn’t work because the movie didn’t feel genuine, every other character arc were not given importance or closure, I didn’t feel for the brother sister relationship, the climax was built to show one point of Alia finally crying than organically building to it. The villain was one sided with no depth. I think it’s from script level when you want to have this and that, than organically building to it. I feel there was a lot of interference to make something for Alia than telling a story that’s why it failed, it’s delusion in today’s day and age to feel that people want to watch some actor, they want actors performing characters that people care about in a story that feels authentic than some plot points. It genuinely could have been good movie but I think there are many lazy or boring part of the film that people didn’t like, the movie needs to work every minute till conclusion. Also the trailer gave away everything, not sure who decided that as watching the movie everyone knew what was going to happen and there was no wow factor as to how genius the character is to break her brother out of a prison. All prison breaks that have worked, is because of a believable factor which was completely missing on the whole. A genius like Vasan Bala needs to rethink on what to do than serve someone else’s objective, and production houses need to stop interfering and work on the script first that is as detailed as possible and not serve someone’s agenda or timeline as everyone’s time is wasted especially the consumers who goes to a theatre to get entertained, and honestly the entire theatre had a disappointed look when the hype was so high.

Alia and Karan johar threw vasan Bala under the bus! Alia probably wasn’t even his choice. The exploitation by the Bollywood bigwigs of talented and creative outsiders continues blatantly. Alia’s stardom is a bubble created by paid PR. It’s not like she has carried movies on her shoulders. She threw a tantrum to be be cast in Sanjay leela bhansali movie.. if it did 109crs it’s because of Sanjay bhansali. If he had the right casting the movie could’ve made 200crs like his previous movies. Gangubai failed because of Alia.

We have to believe that some movies are for OTT n there are many movies which are debacle at box-office but a hit at OTT..... Now days audience want a big screen experience with movies which are larger than life... Post covid Ayushman Khurana was a a hit machine but after covid all his movies flopped does it mean that he is a bad actor, in today's scenario it no more star power it about a big screen experience to attract audiences towards theatres... Gadar 2 was not a good movie but still it was a hit. So blaming actors, directors make no sense and how much one promote Nepotism it upto the audience whether they like them or not else Tanisha would have being a successful star after Kajol.. if u are talented u are here to stay... Audience are not fool.
@Besties59129 күн бұрын
No one has had the backing of a major entity like Karan johar laying out a success path for a nepo kid like he did with Alia Bhatt. Not Kajol not kareena not even hrithik or ranbir. They all had to find their own path around success and failure. Her failures are never discussed. Her average performance are given best actress awards and plus an entire PR machinery to say she’s best. If she was that great then you don’t need to keep going around convincing people she is a superstar and a great actres.

@@Besties591 Agree with you earlier also there were many movies of KJ which star Kajol in it, my point how much one promote anyone to stay in the game one need to be talented enough and when these award functions were not biased it's not something new... As far as Jigra no one complains abt the acting poweress of Alia she had already proven a metal in movies like Highway, Raazi, Udta Punjab, Dear Zindagi, Gangubai to just name a few... And at last it's only the audience who make u or destroy u.

Dear zindagi with the backing of kjo, SRK and SRK prominently featuring in the movie still didn’t even make 65crs. Gangubai had Sanjay leela bhansali’s brand and is actually a flop for him in terms of business it made. All of his other movies with deepika ranveer were blockbusters. This shows audience is not interested in Alia Bhatt. Even a commercial movie rocky rani they had to push it to be a hit with corporate bookings. She has zero stardom. If she think people will pay 200-300rs to watch her cry and scream then she has to think again before productions a movie with herself acting in it

@@Besties591 Gangubai was released post Covid and did a decent business, Highway the very second movie she proved a metal and that was praised by critics, Raazi a solo heroine led cross more than 100 crore and her acting was superb Udta Punjab with the presence of other actors her acting was lauded more, from HSKD to BNKD all were sleeper hit, chalo filmfare is biased but winning a National award for Gangubai is a prove that she did a great job...
