50 percent in equity is best if your goals are for long term as this will defenetly beat inflation after tax than other instruments . I work for insurance as a data scientist. Pls check your health insurance ( star ) various factors . Not only the documents that they provide but also their claim settlement ratio etc… Also check various with customers who bought the same . You will find many when you google.

Hi Vasanthi Great to know someone teaching actual finance! Very good 😊 Few contradictions :- 1) For long term planning , eg- child's college fees. Always take amount out of stocks /MF before 2 years. Market will definitely recover even if it falls. Have 2 years as a safety period 2) Always calculate XIRR and not normal interest rate. You can find the formula even in excel. Lic oda XIRR rate will not be definitely 7.1%.
