I love this phone. It's the best dam phone I ever had. 3 main things I love about this phone is excellent battery life, 4 GB ram, 64gb of internal storage. What's even better is I only paid $150 couple of weeks ago for phone!

Love, Love, Love Motorola moto g series phones. Had my g5 plus for 3 years! Still working great! Just upgraded to the moto g power! Love it! Fantastic upgrade! They just keep getting better! No reviewers ever talk about the g power Dolby Audio chip, it's awesome! Best sounding phone ever. No matter how you listen to your music, by built-in speakers, headphones, Ford SYNC, Sony blue tooth speaker, etc. The g power with it's Dolby Audio chip rocks! Just got this beast yesterday, and the sound quality on stereo speakers is great. A lot more low end than I thought it would have and not tinny at all. Also doesn't distort or crackle at all when at Max volume.great phone for binge watching Netflix.👍

The speaker quality is why I bought this phone. I use the speakerphone exclusively (for work) and speakerphone quality is the most important thing for me when choosing a phone. One of the worst speakerphones on the market is Samsung--makes my ears hurt.

Yeah I think a lot of reviewers are either snobs or compare moto to say a 700 dollar phone. The value of the G power is to me what it gives you at 200 dollars. Totally amazing for that price. And the bonus is for 200 dollars or less it gives you a battery that beats the 700 and up phones. Hope you get one, you will enjoy it!

I've had this phone for over a year - the battery is great and the sound is great - the storage is great too - I have over 300 pics and over 400 songs stored on my phone and I still have 30 gb left... I do not like the touch to turn on the back - I agree about the camera for distant shots - but close-ups are great... Overall, I am very satisfied with the phone...definitely well worth it...

Thanks Patrick! Been busy with other projects, but really happy to get a new video out about the Moto G Power. The gestures with Moto are just not emphasized enough, they do give the Moto an advantage. You know that once you get use to the 'chop" for flashlight or twist for camera, you're like "this is Great!!" Putting together a review just about the camera next, should have it done this week.

Just got this phone; it's amazing for the price! baterry life is epic! Almost got the G8 Plus but I don't need that Pay thing, neither do I get much use from the camera. Battery, dark theme, and gestures are what sold it for me. Speaking of which, the gestures are so freakin' good! So easy to navigate on the device. Double chop torch is one of the main reasons I stuck with Motorola, I can't tell you how often I use that feature, it's just awesome! The double twist for camera is cool too, if you use it a lot. Only a couple of down sides so far... when I'm watching video and use the notification dropdown, sometimes when I flick it away it exits the app, but that's probably because I haven't quite got the finger placement/movement right yet. Also the shrink screen doesn't seem to be working as it should yet, but again, that might be that I haven't quite got the hang of it. Charging was pretty damn fast too, hopefully that doesn't fry the baterry too much. The video quality is a little weak, and the camera too, but that's fine, it's solid enough for my needs. There is some occasional stuttering when scrolling etc, but it's nothing that noticeable and it doesn't happen very often; it's something you're gonna get with all phones in this price range. It's a fairly weighty phone so I really hope I don't drop it anytime soon, but it's worth it for the extra battery life, and it's not that much heavier than the plus. Overall, amazing features/quality for the price; it even comes with a protection cover for the back/sides. It kind of baffles me that people pay 5x the price of this for a high-end Samsung/Iphone, I guess people will happily be ripped off just so that they can say they own a high-end phone. Kinda strange, but each to their own.

I am not sure which model you got there, but it looks exactly just like my European purchased Moto G8 Power- what a great device for the money, and because providers were giving them 40-50% off unit MSRP, if you sign a regular plan for 1-2 years, people picked this one, as it was the 2nd cheapest, after a Samsung with less off everything, all plasticky, very low class. I am so happy with this phone performance, batt and everything, the feel when you type, the large detailed screen, that I don't know why people spend 800EUR for a phone, as this covers all needs for most people. Also in USA Motorola may still be looked like one of the big boys, like Ericsson used to be, Nokia and moto, but in Europe, people know Motorola only builds cellular infrastructure, and didin't have a popular phone for decades, so they are cheap, actually Lenovo-Motorola, and work great,. I had many android devices and the best no-fustrating with issues were 2 Lenovo and this Motorola.

I tested the battery today, and took it off the charger at 7:00 AM and when I got home at 5:00 PM, the phone was just reaching 49% batter life. One downside to the battery is that it charges very slow. But for the amount of battery you get, I say it's worth it.

You can buy a 15 or 18 watt charger if you would like a faster charge. It can use the higher watt. Moto just decided to be cheap & put a 10w in the box :)

Moto has a real winner here in G Power. I'm an audio freak so I care about sound quality. When you demo’d the speakers, that got me sold. The three-lensed camera was the icing. It's LAUGHABLE Samsung still can't make a cell phone with decent speakers, not even in their flagship models. Pitiful ! And No, I ain't waiting in line for hours to spend $1200 on the latest Apple. The G7 Power was the most practical smartphone released last year and the G Power is a heck of an improvement. Better cameras, more storage and ram, Bluetooth 5.0, better processor, 1080p screen and dual speakers. Sadly the battery life isn't quite as good as the G7 Power, but not by much from my use of it. I'd say it's worth the sacrifice for all the 'quality of life' upgrades mentioned above. Despite that, you still get all day battery and an amazing package for $250. This might be the first phone I'll hold on to for a couple years. Have a nasty habit of switching phones when other devices come out and this scratches almost all my itches in a smartphone. (Big battery, good performance, decent camera, plenty of storage, headphone jack, and micro SD card)

The 2020 version is better than the 2021 version. Sadly, Motorola took away features with each version after the Motorola Power G 2020. Features such as the dual speakers, the higher resolution screen and slightly powerful Qualcomm chip. I'm using a 2020 and I'm happy with it.

I didn't hear what you said about this phone's screen resolution (ppi), but in the specs it says it is ~399 ppi which is very respectable ($700 iphones and smartphones have ~450 ppi).

Screen is not that bright and battery life is great but not out of this world. No option to decrease screen resolution to improve battery.... But overall great phone and highly recommended...

Yes it will work perfectly. Never had any issue with speed. It will really depend on your location. The cell tower strength will determine how fast or slow the web pages will load. I use verizon network which was much better than tmobile out in rural areas.

Well my results are just me using both, not scientific ok. I would say the G7 has the edge in battery life. Not by much, I do think the lower screen resolution in the g7 helps push the g7 a little farther than the G Power. Again not much. I'll still take the G power over the G7 for size,build,screen, speakers, Android 10,and cameras.

I have to agree, the g7 is just a little outdated now. The G Power is an evolution of the G7. It is a more refined cell phone, smoother edging, premium feel, full screen. In the hand, I will give the edge to G Power, balanced, layout with the cameras on the side instead of the middle. Little thiner, little shorter, easier to hold. You will like the upgrade to the G Power.

I been using it for about a week. Haven't felt any issues with performance. Now regarding performance, I do not use a lot of apps. Maps, KZbin, browser, podcasts, messages...really just core stuff. Games I have not tried. Everything working well, it's totally worth the money.

@@jt2099 Compared to an iPhone, this phone takes 1 or 2 seconds longer to open some apps. And photos on picture heavy sites also take a few seconds to load if you scroll really fast. But it's hardly even noticeable. All of the basic stuff you mentioned works flawlessly. Overall I love my G8 Power, but I find it a bit too large and chunky for my liking. The iPhone 7 I used to have just fit so much better in my pocket.

How did you get the clock on the right side on the screen? I have the G7 Power running Android 9 and it's on the left side. Drives me nuts!

That is strange, never seen it on the right side. The clock is by default on the left side. Are you running a launcher?

How good is the main camera at picking up color accuracy and detail? Thanks. I've read a lot of reviews, i like this phone but still not sold on the camera. I need a something capable that will take accurate sharp pics.

Hmmm will its average. You could get an app called Camera FV5 so the moto can take RAW file photos. This way you can get the color accuracy you need. But if the camera is super important for you then you really need to look for a different phone. I know the Pixel line has fantastic cameras on it and also iphone. Sorry but those are going to be much more expensive. You will be happier with the end result though.

@@CarlosVasquez I got the phone, overall i like it...the battery is great....the camera is decent, its possible to get some nice pics in the right lighting, has some problems picking up certain colours but overall not bad. Great budget phone.

On the camera why are there2 lines crossed instead of the bullseye? And what is Studio and Blur under Portrait?

Hi, the cross are to help you for the rule of thirds. It help make a more interesting photo. Blur will blur out the background and not the subject, it works sometimes.

I bought this phone a few months ago and the battery doesn't last nearly as long as it used to. It used to last 2-3 days, now it barely makes it through a day. Otherwise, a pretty good phone with great speakers.

Oh that strange, we'll try a factory reset. It might fix the issue, as a last resort if course. If not your battery could just be failing/not holding a charge well anymore.

Yes the camera is an improvement, I am going to get a new video just for the camera this week. Need to show everyone its a good camera, not a great camera as expected for 250.00
