hey man i’ve been watching your videos for a while. Im not sure of you have had issues after washing it. I really dont want to pour a ton of money to repair it. Though for context i washed the bike then it didnt want to start. It does prime, turn on electrical, their is sparks, cleaned the air box (not sure if theirs is water within the system), spark become covered in fuel, backfiring, and that’s it for the moment. Still love the channel!!!!

Look at the sparkplug boots and coil wires and connections to the coil. Things might be loose and water gets in. That has ALWAYS been my issue after wash/bad rain. Backfiring included.

hey man i just wanted to know if you can help me out. I have a ducati monster 620 2003 that i washed. Unfortunately after i washed it didnt want to start. Before hand it started up perfectly. From what i can see it does prime, there is sparks on the lower cylinder and little to none spark at the top cylinder. I also pulled the spark dried them though when i went to take the out they were covered in fuel (mostly the top cylinder spark plug), and black residue is also starting to build up due to the starting attempts. I’d really appreciate any tips or advice. Love videos by the way!!
@ducatinyc16 күн бұрын
In my case, whenever I had issues starting or running after a wash or a heavy rain it ALWAYS had to do with coils connections, coils and boots/cables running from spark to coils. I would honestly check that. Hmmmm

02 620, How do you reset the maintenance light off? Getting 160mpg & my fuel light has not come on. I hit 270 deg. over the summer in stop & go traffic.
@luddite623920 күн бұрын
If you're talking about the "MAInt" message, with the ignition off, hold the left-hand button on the dash down and then turn on the key. Wait about 15 seconds, and the light message should clear.
@ducatinyc19 күн бұрын
Yep- follow luddiete advice below on how to turn that light off. 160mpg? LOL - yea i'm not sure about that. I think you mean 160 miles to the tank :)
@bznupe3018 күн бұрын
Yes, typo on my part. 160 to the tank and then I go fill up. I use super from good gas stations. I am gonna push past 160 and see if my light comes on. I plan to carry a small spare tank on this test, for just in case I am not near a station so I don’t run dry 👍🏾

How is it treating you so far?
@joseantoniosanchez905716 күн бұрын
@@ducatinyc So far it's been great! I had an electrical gremlin that I think I can finally say is fixed now. I was blowing the 15A headlight/tail light fuse. I think it was due to a pinched portion of the wiring harness. No damaged wires luckily. I cut the sheathing for the harness to inspect the individual wires. It's been about 3 weeks with no issues on that. I also did a tail tidy on it, former owner did Rizoma turn signals, I upgraded the headlight bulbs to LED for low beam, Sylvania Ultra for the high beam, I did a tail tidy as well, that custom mounting for my tail bag (I cut up the pilion cover), Installed wiring to the battery to do charging, android auto screen so I don't have to risk my phone being on the bars, and currently, I'm on about 50 miles on new tires. Next: chain and sprockets, belts (no clue how old the current ones are), and exhaust wrap. I'm changing my gear ratio to 14t x 46t. Instead of the 15t x 45t.

I lost my 2000 fuel injected monster 900 because of a cracked engine mount. only had 3k miles and unfortunately when I crashed insurance would have covered the minor damage but I discovered the previous owner cracked the engine mount... making a $1000 repair bill into a $5000 bill and parts are very difficult to find for the engine. I would have had to buy a whole donor engine and rebuild the existing one with it.
