I would’ve loved to have seen Jirov in the ring with Roy Jones Jr., but I don’t think RJ wanted any part of him...

Against prime RJJ, Jirov would have been completely outclassed: if he tried pressure, Roy would have boxed circles around him; if he tried to box like in this fight, Roy would beat him to the punch (it's hard to imagine those long lefts to the body from Jirov hitting anything but air and Roy would have destroyed him with counterpunches). Once Roy was in decline though, Jirov had the discipline and technique to beat him.
