Whoa not be rude, but ur info is all wrong, this was during G's year with Da Basement led by DeVante (Jodeci) it was recorded in 1994 along with the original Pony (not sure if its the same as the 96 version) for a possible Ginuwine album to be released in 1995 but never got released bcuz he and the rest of the artist left DeVante and signed better recording deals, and 100% Ginuwine was released in 1999 and Pony was on his 1st album The Bachelor released in 1996, no hate though

@dianevrules6 жыл бұрын
SANTINO SANTANA You must be going by the credits for Come Up To My Room. Daz is listed as producer. DeVante is listed as co-producer. In reality, Soopafly produced the song and played the instruments. Daz put his name on it and took all the writer and publishing ownership. DeVante produced the Jodeci vocals. Anything with Daz's name on a Death Row track, 1993-2000, was done with Soopafly doing most of the work and Daz programming the beat. Daz can't play instruments.

@dianevrules6 жыл бұрын
I had this song since the 90s. This song was supposed to be on DeVante's private collection. Not Da Basement album. The track-listing in the description is a fan bootleg or some ish. Not the real DeVante's private collection track listing. The real album contained a lot of unreleased songs from all the people who left DeVante (Ginwuine, Missy, Playa, etc). Ginuwine didnt even want this song released. It was one of his demos that he didn't want to publicized.
@VAswang6 жыл бұрын

Teddy Riley And Devante are contemporaries. Teddy debuted with Guy in '88. Devante debuted '91 with Jodeci. they were almost the same age, so how can u say Teddy is the musical sire of Devante. and they had different styles, and JDC's "Forever my lady" was way better than Guy's Album. even in the new jack swing department.

@timfosho He was referring to those minimalist stutter-type beats on those songs, the ones that later made Timbaland famous. You can tell the songs that Timbaland influenced, and this isn't one of them. DeVante's style and Timbaland's style were obviously different.

He did loads of non Jodeci songs. Half of Al B Sure Sexy Versus was produced or co produced by D. One worth checkin from that joint was Turn You Out. He produced tracks for Father MC, Tony Thompson, Mary J Blige, H Town, Jeff Redd, Christopher Williams and 2 PAC. He fully produced an album by Missy Elliot's first group SISTA and reportedly was working with Madonna around the time she dropped Ray of Light. He also did a track with Aerosmith believe it or not.

This song came from a Priority Records promotional compilation. There are several other songs on the disc that weren't commercially released as well as this one by Ginuwine.
