More 80s that the 80s themselves. The freedom of not being constrained by trend, therefore being able to explore the aesthetic to its fullest and manifest it, is the reason why this is so good. It allows one to concentrate and tune into the spirit, unimpeded by any commercial interest or ephemeral fashion appeal. The 80s really has only reached its purest expression AFTER it ended. It is almost as if the spirit is only now, allowed to be liberated into it's best form because of it, and these artists really know how to execute it perfectly well to do it the justice deserved.

Yo, I think the exact same thing, most people forget about the REAL 80s and try to always be in this dream like state that it was the best time ever, and I personally think it was culturally with all the movies and music, but there was a lot of bad stuff too. I love this genre and what it achieves, but I don't like the nowadays depressed people that lies to themselves about everything being better before and not doing anything to change their state of minds and just appreciate the future

@@ElVicioMan I'm not saying it was all perfect but I can see how one would assume so from what I said, but I was speaking from a purely aesthetic point. There was a lot of shit in the 80s and it is easy to forget that, but speaking from an art style point of view, the purity is coming through because it is over.

@@infinitesimotel Exactly, I understand your point. On the other hand, I know what you mean, but I just wanted to add something more to the table :)
