Embar S.Kannan on Violin, and on Mridhangam by Shri. Parupalli Phalgun and on Ghatam by Shri.Giridhar Udupa was an exceptionalyl good and enjoyable one, to say the least. The Main Artist's mastery over his instrument in portraying his skill was adequately supported by the other artists in making the concert very good to remember and seek for more to come by in future.

In my personal opinion Guitar is a modern vertion of Veena which is an ancient instrument of limited portability. Veena reader must sit and read as usually Karnatic Customs. But westerners need to dance and play the instrument 😊

My only feeling is as a music lover and a recident of Bangalore urban areas I am not gifted to have such live concerts to listen. When I was young my father a violinist used to take me to a place called gayanasamaja. I was just enjoying the crowd all music lovers. After our country got independence, our honorable prime minister sri. Jawaharlal Nehru visited Bangalore for the first time. The concert was held in front of Victoria statue on MG road. My father along with his guru , sri. Chowdaiah was playing violin 🎻. It was such a great concert, I still remember that I travelled by the govt. Car ( Buick 8 ) up and down to our home. Now our city has lost its old glamour and has become a garbage city. The old traditions are a thing of the past.
