The prism flash has endured the test of time as an amazing paddle, and I suspect the saga will as well. Huge props to Vatic.

I’ve loved the prism flash for over a year, this might be the right next step. Really glad that Vatic came out with something so quickly after the Oni situation.

Always look forward to your reviews, even if I'm not interested in the specific paddle, I still learn a lot from your findings.

I loved the V7 prism for doubles and the V7 for singles and the Saga blows them both away. Very impressed with the few sessions I’ve played since I got the paddle in 3 days ago. Amazing paddle for the price.

I have watched many of your reviews and this was your best work! Dissecting the paddle is so cool. I'm also biased because this is my favorite paddle I've played with to date!

Super stoked to be getting mine tomorrow. Sold my original FLASH to a friend a couple years back, and regretted it. Hope VATIC is patenting their middle face sheet material. The handle "scales" will make putting on a Hesacore very easy.

Good job as always … if only my game was this consistent. I have a bag full of Daryl’s Vatic paddles, and the bag is a Vatic bag. 😂 I have always loved the Vatic Prism Flash 16 SH, and Saga was in my near future until the purple apes S arrived first. I hope someone shows up at our place with one, because I am curious about the feel. I actually liked the Prism because it didn’t feel springy. I used a term with tennis strings that I played best with, and seems I want the same with paddles … “crappy trampoline”. 😛 I want the feel of pocketing control/dwell without big spring. I bet paddles evolve in that direction … which inevitably probably means dropping polypropylene.

John … not related … but you had mentioned Lifetime ball before. We have now played with it for several weeks at our Lifetime. I like it, seems to hold up better than X40 regardless of seam. I only play indoors, and I think the green is harder to track than the yellow X40, so hope they make a yellow one.

isnt the Lifetime ball 48 holes
@65atBestPBКүн бұрын
@@scottfrancis13 Yes, I had to look it up “Life Time’s ultimate pickleball, however, has 48 holes, making the ratio between the holes and the spacing between them more even. From a durability standpoint, the engineers also made the holes have more of a rounded edge versus a flat edge, extending the ball’s longevity against micro-cracks.”

I’m debating buying the Saga or the new Engage Pursuit V2.0. Have you had any play time with the Engage paddle to compare?

Is there a way to find a way to measure accuracy? I feel large cell paddles like the new PTeks are less accuracy than small cell paddles like the Standout CF3, with all conditions being the same.

How short is short handle? Can you put 2 hands on it if needed? Or you don't use 2 handed backhand?
@tomfowlerwrites91922 сағат бұрын
Their standard handle is 5.3". I have pretty large hands, and I can get both on my Flash (with my off-hand finger on the face).
@AMurderOfLobsКүн бұрын
Why would anyone want a paddle with a standard length when there is a long handle version with essentially the same face profile? That tiny little area of real estate that you get back with the shorter handle does practically nothing for you, except make your two handed shots more uncomfortable. Even if you don''t use two hands, you still don't use that part of the paddle except for the most rare mishits that are unlikely to get over the net anyways.

Carbon fiber woven with spectra/dyneema fiber? Maybe?
@kimleith1378Күн бұрын
Spectra is some crazy strong stuff. Protective climbing gear has been using it for years. Also competitive fishing line.
@hruntingsonКүн бұрын
@ that’s where I’ve heard about it first. Bullet proof vests too apparently. I’ve seen it available at composites suppliers online on its own or woven together with something like carbon fiber.
