Hasn't the battery manufacturing in China matured over the last year or two. This is a complete battery with heating, low temperature, almost exactly 100AH with Bluetooth. Fantastic.

I bought this same battery about three weeks ago for my travel trailer. I love the bluetooth, so I don’t need a bunch of other wires, shunts, gauges to give me the state of charge. The price difference between the heated and non heated was only a few dollars so it was worth the upgrade. You are the first person that I have seen disassemble this particular model of Vatrer battery so I was a particularly nice video for me, thanks.

Wish you could of verified the Bluetooth was accurate during testing to your shunt while charging and discharging and cold temp testing with heaters on. Thanks for showing us battery.

This! Would love to see an update if the internal measures in the bt app is correct when heatmat is working vs external shunt. As I understand, external shunts aren’t working correct with self heated batterys because the shunt logs the energy for the heating like it is used to charge the battery, correct? So you have to recalibrate the shunt if the heating was used?

@@holgerk6352 Interesting, I have not thought of that, but I can see where it would be a problem with an external shut. Ill see if I can get a test going where I freeze the battery, and see what the BMS does for SOC while heaters are on. Thanks

Awesome! It seems like a pretty good deal with free shipping and the display. It's between that one or the calpha that you reviewed. It's hard for me to justify shipping on a single battery so I've been looking at ones with free shipping. I've been using 12v batteries in series but can't keep them balanced so I missing 9ah of capacity

How much battery power is lost if my rv is in freezing Temps nonstop for weeks? No charging allowed by BMS?

Good question, Bill. So usually the way heated batteries work, they only heat when charging is applied (i.e. the charge power gets directed to the heater). They typically do not use the battery power to heat. Now that being said, I need to test this battery to verify this one does it that way. Thanks

So if my solar charge controller applies power your test shows no power goingbinto the battery from your power source. Anyway if the sun is out and its freezing then heaters warm the battery so it can accept charge. Then does the battery cool off and stop charging and turn the heaters back on and repeat this cycle all day? Boondocks you need all the solar charging you can get. Thanks

"The battery will activate the heating function only when the charging current is more than 10A. " -Looks like my 100w panel or Noco 10amp isn't going to trigger the heating function.
