Hi great video I’m very new to vatsim and only ever flown once with a controller from Sandown on the Isle of Wight. I was really nervous and screwed up my radio procedures. Your videos have given me a bit more confidence to try again.

Thanks John. I hope you will keep on with it. I usually tell new users that it's not possible to get it right first time. I still get muddled and tongue tied sometimes. Getting it wrong is the best way to learn imo.

Great video, quick question... would London Control be contacted on a VFR flight. I thought they only provide ATC to IFR at higher altitudes?

You don't have to contact them as long as you stay out of controlled airspace. If you want to enter CAS and there isn't APP or TWR and you are within the LON_CTR sector, you must ask their permission. This is different from the real world, clearly.
