That's amazing, Marc. I had no idea after all this time what the implications are for VFR flying and how to plan for it. You're a gem!

Hey Marc, a quick and easy way to find minimum safe elevation on a route is to look at the VFR sectional chart. You’ll see a two digit altitude number in blue font per each quadrant.

Always learn something new watching your videos. I didn't know about VFR flyways and I use navigraph a lot. Shows you how sometimes you can get settled into what you know too much. Thanks again for a great video.

Thanks so much, it means a lot coming from a fellow creator!

I adore your videos. You and I seem to have the same personality and I love when people fly the game, at least, relatively seriously.

Thank you for saying that, much appreciated :)

Wonderful video! Hopefully Navigraph will get an elevation profile view soon, I think it is one of the last big missing features for VFR flight planning..
@FlightSimSchool8 ай бұрын
Thanks so much :) The other feature that’s sorely missing is a way to generate a NavLog. I found a decent workaround, which we’ll look at once we fly the route.

I find the FAA Sectional Charts way too cluttered. Is that VFR map you're using payware only (from navigraph)? Also, any weather tools I can reliably use if I'm simulating real time weather? I also fly in Brazil and the Windy app works really well here, does it also work in the US accurately? Awesome videos and tips, thanks a lot!

Windy definitely works in most places around the world. And yes, the VFR map is Navigraph only. There may be something equivalent in LittleNavMap, but I haven’t used it recently so can’t say for sure.

@@FlightSimSchool Cool, I'll have to check Little Navmap out. Thanks!!

Hi i have a question about the pmdg 737 900 . I got it and im having some issues, i like flying long trips but dont really care about fuel so i run unlimited but runs out anyway over time. 2nd i cant taxi with it as it just break and even when i turn of autobreak it still wont move and need full power then after i decrease thrust it just stop again is there something im not aware about or is this just a me issue?
@FlightSimSchool8 ай бұрын
I don't think the PMDG uses the unlimited fuel setting, you can use Simbrief to figure out what the longest flight you can do with it is. For your second issue, you might want to check your bindings to see what's mapped to the brakes, it sounds like you might have some bindings issues. It also sounds like maybe you're still attached to the tug. That would keep you from moving. Hope that helps

Your first issue is you have a complex airplane with simplistic standards of flying. Maybe this hobby isn’t for you.
