I really enjoyed hearing this wonderful Turkish Presidential Symphony Orchestra play Vaughan Williams' sublime 5th Symphony with sensitivity and passion. The marvelous conductor, Can Okan, led the orchestra with power and also deep lyricism that brought out some interesting nuances and details that I had not heard before in any better known British performances. The mystical dimension of the music with its haunting melodies came through beautifully. May I also refer the listener to the same performers gifting us on youtube with a galvanizing Sibelius Symphony No. 2. In that performance the whole orchestra lets loose in the finale with a compelling and thundering finale. And Can Okan is also a fine pianist who can be heard performing Schubert's Impromptus. Wonderful treats just waiting to be heard. I hope this orchestra and conductor will continue to inspire and bless many listeners in the coming days and years ahead. Can they please do Sibelius' Symphony No. 4 and 7 and perhaps Alan Hovhaness' Mysterious Mountain and Sym. 11 ("All Men Are Brothers"), beautiful mystical works. THANK YOU SO MUCH!
