That's why i love fallout , or In general. They focus even a tiny bit of story telling in the games! That makes their game a masterpiece! If you come upon a skeleton somewhere in the wasteland , that skeleton alone can tell you a whole story of its own!! That's where fallout and TES make tiny difference, TES tells story from shit tons of in-game books, dialogues, and just playing the main quest line, but fallout main quest line doesn't make up all the story in the game, there are bit and bits of stories scattered all over the waterland, and Bethesda started using that tactic from fallout 3, where they start using 3d 3rd person making the story telling even possible.

@drobix51399 жыл бұрын
That wasn't animated. It was a One-Of-A-Kind Prototype that became a success. Problem is, It takes so long to make one. It would take one year to make one Mister Handy because of how "High-Tech" it is. Not only that, but we need the technology of Fallout 3 like the lasers. It would not stay in the air very long unless it had 1,000,000,000,000 gallons of gasoline to burn in order to stay afloat. That's also the reason it left quickly.

+Drobix Hence the world of Pre-War Fallout ran on atomic energy.
@minecraftfan6908 жыл бұрын
the technology was different from ours, and took a more effective and nuclear-friendly stance. atomic energy was a lot more powerful than gas, and was used in mr. handy units. a real one could be made in real life, but it would take a lot of testing and have to use an alternative energy method rather than gas or nuclear power. possibly solar or wind energy.
@spyrellephea11058 жыл бұрын

the reason why is because the transistor was never invented/discovered, which changed technology in the future completely. only history from the 50s and prior is the same, with minor differences like alien abductions. the society was also affected by this technological difference. energy relied on uranium and nuclear reactors, and the lack of technology like phones and social media on computers affected politics and a more progressive life. though there are many social changes that occurred (gay rights, anti-segregation), no one bothered to come up with a method for when the resources went dry, because everyone was busy enjoying their pampered life with all its commodities. social tensions grew, resources ran dry, and everyone hated communists. and then everyone deployed their nuclear arsenals. there is a chance that switzerland survived because no one hates switzerland, though. there's your explanation for not color television in 2077. hope you enjoy tl;dr there was no transistor, so technology completely changed

the experiments weren't for that purpose. they were a big science experiment testing normal people ignorant of the experiments and their reactions to the experiments when presented to test how to rebuild society in the most effective manner. this plan later failed after vault tec's main correspondents and operatives dissolved and died, and the main government was dissolved. the enclave had no real intention of rebuilding society, they were just purists despite the fact they traveled through the wasteland on multiple occasions
