masterblasterT47 well demon psy supports it through warp so if you prevent acces of warp things should get fairly weaker and sticking a demon into something is not easy. They to subdue the said demon first. hence the case of bloodletter.

RNJesus This is actually what I have a big problem with. By sticking to this in the more recent fluff and army development, they've moved away from any sort of ancient technology or holdover tech from the Heresy, while the Space Marines, who were once billed as being held back by a lack of technology and having to search for STCs, are now literally tripping over new units/tech/PrimarisWTF. I don't want a DAEMON IN A PLANE or a DAEMON IN A WALKER or a DAEMON IN A TANK, all shooting at people with DAEMONIC GUNS loaded with DAEMONIC BULLETS. I can only imagine a bunch of GW bigwigs in a meeting assigning themes ("we can't have CSM just be 'evil' Space Marines!") and their edict to the designers afterwards was something to the effect of "give CSM daemon stuff. No, not just daemons...but like...MECHANICAL DAEMONS"

Ed, big fan here, trying to put together a Dark Heresy campaign for some friends and I have a huge question as I am still fairly new to 40k. My question being: Are there "vampires" in the 40k universe? Thank you for your time.

Kind of. There are Vampyers, a type of warp entity (not a demon) that possess people and uses them to drain others of their soul and blood, killing them and turning them to husks. However, its a big universe, who knows whats out there, could be space for more traditional vampires if it's what you want for your DH game.

Just a wee little nit pick here. Decimate means 1 in 10 are killed by their comrades. It was a form of punishment used in roman legions for failing to perform, mutiny and or cowardice and was only used a few times. Like i said, just a little nit pick. Infact I'm pretty sure a chaos lord got pissed off with the miss use of the word in 1 of the Gaunts Ghosts novels and executed 1 of his officers.

this universe so stupidly dystopic that it will never get to the mainstream it is to heavyily favor to chaos and they are overpowered this is what makes the universe so got damn dumb there is no real balance there are no real heroes in this universe. the only ones i can think of are garviel loken, saul tarvitz,euphrati keeler,mersadie oliton,iacton qruze,nathaniel garro,and kyril sindermann... i hope someone makes a movie trilogy out of the first six books but i doubt it
