+MC Mark Markson (MusicLover) Well the King of Necrons returned to defend the galaxy, including the living, to lead the Necrons to defend the galaxy against the Tyranid. There are some xeno, including some Eldar, who look to destroy chaos, and to keep peace amongst the races, seeing as some are part of a mysterious multixeno order who seeks to bring the fall of chaos. And the Tau ARE open to working with other races, and are against chaos and the Tyranids, Especially the rogue general of the Tau, who forsake the leaders to fight against the malevolent forces in the galaxy, which include chaos. Shoot, even the Emperor is actually Xeno tolerant, and is only against those that seek malevolent ends, or ends that are harmful of humanity. For nonharmful races, the Emperor was extremely tolerant, considering it wrong to harm them, but still to be watched, just in case.

One thing I'd want to bring up is this, something like the Tyranids wouldn't be able to evolve naturally on a planet. Think about it, the way we know about evolution and how it works, the Tyranid's ancestors wouldn't have evolved by a few mutations over several million years. This can lead to two things: 1. The Tyranids were a bioweapon that went nuts and killed it's target, it's creator, everyone else in the galaxy, and several other galaxies. 2. The Tyranids were a species similar to us, but started using bio-engineering and genetic manipulation so aggressively they became creatures like they are now and devolved into an animal-like state bent on consuming all life and reproducing. It also might be that it was one species of animal that was experimented on to became very unstable genetically. It can also be assumed that there was one "common ancestor" of all Tyranids due to the shared characteristics (oblong shaped heads, six limbs, chitinous armor).
@thedarkmaster47479 жыл бұрын
Theodore Hodbor deffinately a biowepon... but then again... it could be a sceintent galactic virus if you think of them interms of their hive fleets... i doubt they were a scientient species that devolved... also it's possible that their creators could still be alive and dirrecting them. think about it? what could be more effecient than the tyranids as a means for gathering recources for a biotechnologically based civilization? it would also explaine their six to eight limbed, head, tailed and two segmented exo-endal skeletal main body structure. also things like hive tyrants and warriors do sujest something?
@theodorehodbor50809 жыл бұрын
The Dark master That these hivefleet's aren't the actual masters, they are merely harvesters to then return to the homeplanets of the "master race" to be processed into biotechnology they can use (sort of like the Reapers harvesting people to make more of themselves). That sounds like a pretty good idea.

Theodore Hodbor Note they are outside of this Galaxy, there is a running theory in physics that limitations and rules bend and strengthen in different parts of the universe, for example, say they came from the Andromeda Galaxy for whatever reason, you could theoretically argue that planets there are so different that evolution of live takes a much different turn, at a very different pace for entirely different reasons. The great thing about the universe, almost ANYTHING you can imagine as a living organism could theoretically evolve somewhere.

So, assuming that the Chaos is entirely dependant on the existance of intelligent (and psychic) life and Tyranids apparently being able to sense the warp and psychics: Have there been any major and lore-supported engagements between Chaos forces and Tyranids?
@Gibbons345710 жыл бұрын
It's interesting you mention that. I always thought it odd that the Tyranids have many of the traits associated with the Chaos Gods. They are always at war and shedding blood, the bring virulent infections and are themselves like a virus, they are always changing and adapting with some great unknown goal and they seem to enjoy what they do, the Hivemind does anyway. Yet they also create a blankspot in the warp, they can completely block it out preventing ships from getting in or out and preventing communication through the warp itself. It's like they are both pure chaos and the very antithesis of it. Kinda cool really.
@Sav3TheWorld10 жыл бұрын
I have heard of one battle between Chaos and the Tyranids. The forces of Chaos were actually winning the battle at first, but then began to lose the favor of the Chaos gods. Since Tyranids don't have souls like the other races, the gods didn't really care about killing them. So, the Tyranids eventually won because the Chaos gods simply lost interest in the battle. This might also explain why Tyranids don't suffer from demonic incursions even though they have a lot of psykers. Chaos just doesn't find it worthwhile to fight Tyranids.
@MadnerKami10 жыл бұрын
Sav3TheWorld See, that's the point. The Chaosgods should have all the interests in the world in fighting the Tyranids, as the Tyranids consume, destroy and prevent the reemergence of what they entirely depend on: Souls/Psychic Beings/Emotions. No (psychic) life left in our galaxy means: no chaos.Though one might debate that chaos still would survive on beings outside of our galaxy, but the chaos as we know it from the lore, is obviously bound to this galaxy somehow (or do we know any chaosgods born by extra-galactic entities or of any extra-galactic entities that are brought into their wars, like it happened, for example, with Space Marines?). Otherwise, not engaging with the Tyranids on any larger and definite scale seems very suicidal and the Chaosgods, clearly have an interest in self-preservation.
@ysgramornorris245210 жыл бұрын
MadnerKami I once read that a space hulk full of tyranids was sent through a Warp rift by a hive fleet, supposedly to cause Chaos-induced mutations and hasten their evolution.
@SuperSaiyanMaze10 жыл бұрын
I wonder how the Emperor would handle the incursion, if he were still available? Would he think siding with Chaos for the survival of humanity worth it, or would he have other plans? Of course, his answer might also depend on if he survived the Horus Heresy (which would make a very different Imperium), or if the Heresy simply never happened.

ok, so if the first known contact with the tyranid was in M41and some hive ships being found in M34....i have some issues, now, please some one correct me if i am wrong. So with this vid saying that Genestealers are a part of the tyranid, no with that in mind....if we look at the original release of Spacehulk in 1989 we can tell from this and from the other patterns on armour about in the time we see Marines using Mk 4 and Mk 5 and Mk 6 power armour. Mk 4 armour was in use Pre Heresy with Mk 5 and Mk 6 armour in use during the heresy and Mk 7 in use toward the end of the heresy after the fall of Mars. So with mk 6 in use during the time of the initall space hulk game we can surmise that genestealers were known to the Imperium by as early as M30 and M31 that is a long time until the dormant ships in M34. Even if you take into consideration that games like Tyranid Attack that came out in 92 and tyanid warriors were out in 91 at about the same time as Mk 7 armour....then that dates to the end of the heresy that was according to what i remember was in M31-M32 still pre dating M34.
@VaultsOfTerra9 жыл бұрын
vamprosful Don't be fooled, the older products do not follow the new lore in regards to marks of armor. GW only gave them a set timeline later on, so even if the primary armor was mk.4-6 in space hulk, the lore still puts their first encounters in M34. Remember, space hulk is actually still meant to take place in and around M40-41, so you cannot really use the mark of amour as a gauge, considering the SM are apparently using older marks of armor long after they should have been wearing mk.7 armor. Thanks for the comment though.

Massive Ork Waaagh VS Massive Hive Fleet Invasion ftw!! worthy of a movie or something....at least an animated one...then create a part 2 where necrons pop out of nowhere to crash the party....then part 3 where it is revealed that the Inquisitors have been playing all three sides against each for awhile. However there is a major risk, if the Orks win they will form into a massive unstoppable Waaagh, if the Tyranids win they will consume all the bio-material left to form an unstoppable Hive Fleet and if the Necrons win they will raise all the other necrons hidden in nearby planets and form an unstoppable army of death. In all three cases the Imperium is seriously screwed UNLESS the Inquisitors somehow manage to keep the fight between the three going on eternally forever and ever. Now THATS some lore-worthy space-drama worth writing a book on or a mature animated show on. I almost remember a book where there was a similar plotline.

Undead Tyranids are eaten, to make more Tyranids. The Flood has shown the ability to modify the genetic material of a species over a long period of time. The Tyranids to this over a couple of hours. My guess, they merge into e new species. Like virus do when they interact with other viruses. New strains appear. Without needing hosts like the Flood does to reproduce and with the ability to transform anything into its species without the need of digesting it first like the Tyranids need to do. You can say that the Flood acquired and entire self sufficient ecosystem or that the Tyranids acquired the ability to dominate worlds faster. I choose to say it is neither. This thing is neither a Tyranid nor the Flood. it is the Tyrantflood.

firetools The problem with the zerg is that they are clinging to their zerg queen, namely kerrigan and in my honest opinion, with her human emotion and her human mentality is the biggest reason as to why the zerg is unable to reach their full potential. The very first tyranids as I remember were supposedly created by 'Space Zoats' and used as rank and file as the zoat race had somehow suffered a great reduction in numbers. I also remember the zoats also being connected to slann.

could think that if the tyranids main force is not yet arrived. (if it is coming this way anyway and hasn't simply scattered to all directions spreading like infection across the universe.) if they have started from some far reach of known space that we have mapped so far in current time. they would have swallowed countless of galaxies and their mass would leave shadow on the known universe. just that big the fleet would be. the only way I see how any life in the galaxy could survive from this, would be by hiding in the warp while tyranids consume everything and continue on their path to consume other galaxies which could take millions of years from the fleet to move away from our galaxy. the scenario would ask that humans, eldars and taus would throw their war ax down the well and put their tech together in order to hide the whole holy terra in warp and wish that the power of the Emperor can keep warp from effecting it. (why them? because of their technology that could be useful and these 3 are the most advanced species in the galaxy and could put their war behind them in this kind of situation) the rest would be tyranid food. I dont know how necrons would react tho. but I dont think they stand against their endless numbers.
@KossolaxtheForesworn9 жыл бұрын
***** you cant unite with necrons. C'tan wants everything dead and they obey. they dont listen what you have to say, they just shoot you. orks cannot be trusted. you tell them you have a fight for them and they sooner or later shoot you in the hide.

1: Why have you opened this can of worms and what do you intend to do with it? 2: Not really. In fact the story goes SC1 was to be a 40k game with Marines and Tyranids, the GW pulled out mid development, so Bliz just altered all the copyrighted elements and made SC. So, not stolen, more used and iterated on, otherwise you have to say 40k stole Genestealers from alien, along with all thier other Ideas from 70s/80's sci-fi.

Not in the cannon, but the wonderful thing about Warhammer is that you are encouraged to make your own story around your army, so you could make a Hive Fleet Ziz of your own. A fleet specializing in fliers would be interesting, actually. I wonder what the color scheme would be.

nice video - I'm curious as to the other species contact with tyranids and how did they fare against them - I have read that they have come across Orks, but did anyone have any success like the Imperium?
@Enballgroda110 жыл бұрын
I believe that the Tau encountered Hive Fleet Gorgon at some point along with the Imperium and the forces actually had to team up to deal with it or they would both be overwhelmed. I'm not sure about the other races of the 41st millennium but I did hear something about tyranids deliberately avoiding necron tomb worlds for some reason.
@DarkZholt10 жыл бұрын
WunKewlFrawg Since they seek the psychic trail of living creatures the Necrons would draw no attention from them, as they don't seem very tasty since they are not really alive. That is just me guessing, though.
@Enballgroda110 жыл бұрын
DarkZholt Well one could imagine that's true, seems reasonable enough, but many of their tomb worlds are still very much alive at the time of their awakening so even though they necrons aren't the planet is still a tasty snack for the hive fleet.
@Errtuabyss10 жыл бұрын
They have most likely came across every major fraction in the universe. The orks in the Octarius-Sector is only one of the biggest clash, where Tyranids and Orks are fighting over the system and becoming more and more dangerous because both races flourish from war. The Tau and the Imperium are the only race that tried to communicate with the Tyranids. The Tau sending diplomats (you know how this ended...) and the Imperium via Varro Tigurius (Chief Librarian of the Ultramarines) which supposedly connected to the hive mind itself. Other then that the Tyranids are spread accross the universe and do not care who they meet in their path. As long it contain biomass they will try to consume it. As long it fights them they will try to destroy it. Btw as a matter of fact Tyranids have bioacid and other ways to destroy even Necrons. They normaly won't do it because it's a waste of biomass so the Necrons would be most likely the only ones surviving the Nids. But they are not unable to fight them. An old theorie was even that the hive mind is actualy the Eremit, a C'tan that left the Milky Way long ago, and that he brought them back to destroy all life to erase the warp. But I guess the theorie is dead with the new Necron fluff..
@DarkZholt10 жыл бұрын
WunKewlFrawg True, I forgot that some of the Necron tombs are dorment for 64 million years under living worlds. Now that you mention it, I think I read a story about the Imperial Guard that had them attacked by Tyranids and during the battle the Necrons awekened and the Guards just left the Tyranids and the Necrons to fight eachother... but I can not remember were I read it. That's one of the things about WH40k that I love the most, you can pit any faction against any other and it will still make sense xD

Couple of thoughts... If the hive fleets were just the beginning would it not be tens of thousands of years (if not more) for a main force to arrive even if the message to come was instantaneous? (Given the nearest galaxy is pretty far away) What's going on with them in the Milky May, do they have a permanent base in the east of the Galaxy now? If so is this an increasing base are they creeping west? Aren't the Chaos pissed that the nids are threatening to take their fun away?
@IAmebAdger9 жыл бұрын
+Seth Arora If Chaos were to think rationally, they would be scared out of their minds, because without races like the humans and Eldar feeding the Warp, Chaos wouldn't exist. But Chaos does not think rationally, that's not how Chaos works...
@MasoMaria8 жыл бұрын
+Seth Arora To answer your questions: 1, the tyranid forces currently arriving are a fraction of the total tyranid force, but the real tyranid army has departed their previous galaxy long ago so technically the main tyranid force should arrive somewhere after the year 41k. 2, Tyranids are a fleet based race and do not take over or settle worlds. they go to a planet harvest all biomass on it and move on. so they do not have any bases in the milkyway. 3, the first tyranid fleets arrived from the galactic east but currently fleets are arriving from the galactic west and from underneath the galaxy. 4, due to the shadow in the warp, tyranids are a serious problem to the forces of chaos and also, if the nids consume all biomass in the galaxy there will be no more people to feed chaos and chaos would seize to exist.
@setharora5218 жыл бұрын

Is the swarmlord capable of independently operating within and without the collective hive mind?
@Roulden10 жыл бұрын
Hasn't it been speculated that each fleet that managed to make it to the galaxy are actually just scouting parties? I kind of remember a comment like that in one of the Tyranid codex's, indicating that the actual size of the Tyranid forces is mind boggling massive, and each failed attempt into this galaxy just means they will send a bigger scouting party.
@4everdunc10 жыл бұрын
Yep, thats a theory, also this theory sometimes gets added with the speculation that they are so numerous that they are invading not only this galaxy but invading thousands of galaxies at the same time, while it is unknown how many galaxies are already been overrun by them, another theory is that the hivemind is/is controlled by a surviving Chitan from the time when the Necrons and Eldar were fighting against each other

Will you do more videos about the Tyranids, or go more in depth about the Hive Mind, how it operates exactly? Is the Hive Mind some sort of sentience that controls the Tyranid forces from the void, or is it a result of the collective, that is, more Tyranids are present, the more intelligent the Hive Mind becomes?

The exact nature of the hive mind is unknown. It looks like the fleets are working together for a common goal: eat and evolve. But they also compete for the food, so if two fleets meet, they will attack and kill each other, something the Imperium learned thanks to Commissar Ciaphas Cain in the latest book: The Greater Good.

So now? Would tryanids, avoid or ignore necron worlds, as these have no organic life left on them? Would the necrons survive?
@Killeraholic9 жыл бұрын
+Dante Vaidya Some Necron Tomb Worlds do actually have organic life on them (wich came to be while they slumbered) these worlds get attacked, Necrons wake up..engage the Fleet...and either destroy the Hive fleet, but having lost many warriors and maybe even some hubs (meaning the necron ''souls'' linked to that hub are destroyed and truely dead) or their Tomb World gets destroyed, the necrons and their tech not consumed themselves but utterly crushed.. thus being truely dead. These worlds barren of life, would indeed be left alone.
