I recently got a Meriva B, and I have to say that your videos about them are the best I've encountered. They are proving most educational.

Thanks very much, great clear video. Mines an auto so I guess I'd just put it in neutral too? Also do you know if you turn the ignition off after setting it in service mode whether it stays in service mode? Regards

I'm not 100 percent sure but I assume you turn the ignition off after setting it as the ignition would be on for a long time.

Hey, am in ur situation now:) can u answer both ur questions?on Neutral or park? Turn of ignition or not? And lastly does putting it in service mode make wide enough to place the new brake pads or should we increase the gap by hand?

after doing this procedure the pliers go behind and therefore you don't need the retractor to push them in? or do you need the same to carry them further back to put the pads?
@baconbuttties
@baconbuttties 2 жыл бұрын
I think it is just to release the handbrake fully and not engage when doing the brakes. You will still need to twist and push piston back in.
@fabiopisani4851
@fabiopisani4851 2 жыл бұрын
thanks ... after changing the pads, first press the brake pedal to pump the pistons and then start the car? or start the car and engage the parking brake? what do you do after everything is mounted?
@baconbuttties
@baconbuttties 2 жыл бұрын
@@fabiopisani4851 You should take the handbrake out of service mode first. A few for brake pumps and engage and disengage before you set off should be okay 👍

@@baconbuttties however I am afraid of making some mess with the "service mode" and I think I will remove the parking brake and disconnect the battery and then I will change the pads ..

@@fabiopisani4851 You can't really go wrong with the service mode. It's better to do the service mode so it resets after new pads.

I got a Meriva b (Opel) this one recently let cooling fan always on when it start to work and don't go off until I stop the engine .... I have not engine light on or maintenance light on .... Any ideas why ? Also the temperature goes too cold until near to 50° ....
@baconbuttties
@baconbuttties 3 жыл бұрын
Sounds to me like one of the temperature sensors could be faulty. Without any diagnostic equipment it will be hard to trace. Maybe this video may be of help as to where you should start. kzbin.info/www/bejne/nninn6Gvnp6LrtE

Meriva B lack off power humf so to speak would you know what the issue is it used to basically self drive at the slighted touch of the accelerator, it feels like the in older cars would be a loose accelerator cable but the meriva is electric could you help me please. Q2 my head lights flash when the automatic locking kicks in I've replaced the battery and tightened the connections what could be the issue here as well. Thanks
@baconbuttties
@baconbuttties 3 жыл бұрын
Q1. Trouble is with modern cars that it's difficult to pinpoint accelerator problems as the pedal is electric and so is the throttle body so without reading any codes would be impossible for me to diagnose. Q2. Have you tried disconnecting the battery for a while to try and reset the control module for the flashing lights?
