Vauxhall Mokka X SUV Review - Will it Mokka you crazy?

I have had mine for near on 2 years now and nothing has gone wrong, no rattles, nippy, comfortable, nice to drive, 40+mpg.... can't fault it at all. Absolutely love it.

Thank you for the super helpful review, and video. I've just bought a (new to me) Mokka X, 19 plate. 1.4T, ecotec. I am loving it so far! I've come from a 59 plate 1.7 diesel Astra (yep - 14 years old, and 140k miles!), which was a great car, but became uneconomical to repair. I wanted something higher up, and am really enjoying the higher ride, and good for my terrible back. Thanks for helping me with knowing all of the things to discover in my ace new car. 🥰

I've owned a brand-new 1.6 petrol Mokka since early 2017 and have really enjoyed driving it. We've had no major problems with it either. It's a pleasure to drive (love the elevated driving position!) especially on long journeys as I have travelled 500m to Scotland frequently over the last two years. My only bitch is the 1.6 doesn't pull particularly well with any kind of load aboard, especially uphill. I'm coming up for a new car in March, but am upset that Vauxhall have decided to discontinue the Mokka. My only hope is to find a 1.4 diesel they can slap a 20 plate on!

This isnt a racecar, and shouldnt be judged as one either. Its a family car wich is cute and nice. After 8-10 years (100.000km.), you must expect the oil cooler to fail, and water outlet. And maybe replace valve cover due to blowby pressure from damaged pcv valve, wich is incorporated in the valve cover. Otherwise it is most servicing parts to think of. This is my experience anyway. Oh yeah, change the oil more frequently than adviced by manufacturers. Its probably the best tip for any car. I do 5.000 km.

it was ok but the stering wheel felt very heavy and then I tried the suzuki vitara and fell in love but the specs for the mokka really are amazing 👏🏾

The plastic trim panels which line the boot are so flimsy they constantly rattle. The access panels to the rear bulbs have tiny clips which WILL break (not might break, WILL break) when you remove the panel for bulb access, which means they rattle as well.

@@aciddiver1978 haha, good luck with that theory.. Also, have your coolant system checked regularly for combustion gasses. Head gasket failure is a common fault to.

"Large clunky models that the market didn't want like the Antara..." What!! I have an Antara, its a reliable, powerful tow car and handles as good as other SUVs I've driven. This Mokka lacks the NM to tow anything larger than a firebreglass canoe.

One step up from the Dacia Duster. Too narrow and a typical Daewoo Asian design. Relatively cheap and you get a cheap car from a zombie brand.

I've had loads of Vauxhalls over the years, including Astra's, GTC's and Nova's, from way back when.... I can honestly say I have not had any issues with any of them. Way more reliable that other makes I have had.

@@PB-fj5lh This isn't a Vauxhall though. It has the badge but it is a Korean GM product from the formerly Daewoo factory. It has a fairly poor reputation.

Paul Burgess my wife traded in her Lexus ct200 for a new Mokka in March, Lexus was too low and was killing my back getting in & out (I’m 6’2”) my wife now has arthritis in her knees and she was struggling. The Mokka is brilliant, easy to get in & out . The Mokka has a better entertainment system than the Lexus. On a run the Mokka isn’t far behind the Lexus on mpg , we have the 1.4T automatic. The Mokka has done 2000 & no complaints.
