Almost forgot, here's the proper torque settings if you want to do that at home. drop links: 65 nm (both nuts), front shock absorbers: 55 nm (top nut in the engine compartment), the screws and nuts connecting the absorber to the axle are torqued to 100 nm + 30 degrees + 15 degrees. Use NEW screws and nuts if possible.

Word of caution about those metal drop links, i have heard those tend to just bend rather than flex, like the plastic ones. That was going off the 306 lads years ago, they use the same drop links, i always went for moog drop links.

Nice job on the subframe, and 100% them undertray are very important, in economy, sounds insulation, keeping water out the bell housing and engine bay and so on.

ECU should be ready to go being 18yrs old and were they located them. Z18xe don't like pattern coil pack's noticed in the previous vid it is not a gm 1.

For the top of the suspension you can also use a swan neck spanner to hold the nut in place and used the smaller ratchet to turn the threads... although that is fancy looking set

Wow what a lick of paint did for that rusty subframe! I like how the Vauxhall's come apart, seems to be less 'stupid' engineering compared to the Fords. Will be a lovely summer bus when it's done 👍🏻

Nice interesting video Martin!, not sure if I would take on what looks like a big job! My wife’s 2014 Ford Focus has had windows steaming up, ( No not for that reason) but we googled it and found out that the problem could be wet carpets! Well we checked that out and yes the carpets on the near side were wet! And when I checked out the wheelwell in the boot there was 4 inches of water in there then overflowing into the cabin, causing the problem! any way a KZbinr explains how to sort this problem which may involve removing the Rear bumper to get access to some vents/ filters that could let water into the boot and hence into the cabin! Happy days!

My first mk2 Clio didn't have an undertray and the subframe was very rusty and it was fairly new back then. I painted it every year until i got rid of it. Most cars didn't have undertrays till at least the early 2000's.

Meyle HD drop links are way better than any other droplink for MK4, had a pair for 3yrs on mine and track rods too which are a lot bigger than standard.

You guys are right, it's the outside/ambient temperature sensor. On the Astra H / Mk5 it's fitted in a very similar position.

The mk3 astras had the sensor clipped in to lower part of bumper so it pointed on to the road rather than straight forward but they never lasted long and always came up F on display cos they got soaked by the rain on the roads.
