Vauxhall/Opel Astra K front grill removal

*** there are 8 clips along the bottom and the top just litterly pull out***
Needed to re-paint my badge so thought I'd paint chrome on the grill as well. seen a lot of posts about having to remove the front bumper to get the grill out. Well I thought I'd show that you don't need to remove the bumper

Hyflydonk i done mine with plasti-dip around a year ago and it has lasted. Would love to permanently get rid of the chrome. Have you seen how to get rid of the chrome without spraying it?

Without using a good quality etch primer, the paint will definitely flake off quite quickly. Nothing looks worse than stone chips on painted plastic.

the chrome parts were soaked in bleach for 24h first to remove the chrome plating. 3 years on and it still looks mint! thanks for your comment.

sorry but if you really only have 5 clips above and 5 below. That was not the case with me. Below are 8 clips and above 14. If you are uploading a video it would be more helpful to show video material instead of just 3 pictures. This is not an easy job for beginners.

correction. There are significantly more clips available, but a lot of them are not holders. I just looked at it again. Therefore it would be helpful to at least show the right holder so that people don't try for hours 😅
