Thanks mate. I really like your videos because I can never find tutorials for my 1.8 sri. In the Haynes they don't go to the trouble of showing how to remove the whole fuel tank! And I really need to remove it entirely before cutting out rust, weld, and respray inside filler cap housing. Everything you explain is really important to me as I have adhd so when you say stuff like "This must open anti clockwise" or "here we need an e10 spanner" etc etc. Everything detail of your instructions is ALL important. I like it when you describe how to release clips in detail 👌 I love your videos mate. Nick filton, Bristol

Tip - disconnect the fuel rail in the engine bay beforehand to release the pressure and prevent fuel leaking into the cabin

I have combo van (corsa van). I put in the wrong fueI and the filler pipe has anti-theft built in. So I had to find another way into the fuel tank. I removed the panel of wood floor covering the floor and found a trapdoor leading me to this spot (fuel pump access looks the same as in this video) I look forward to carefully accessing the tank and syphoning its contents. I considered replacing the fuel pump too but just saw its cost. So it will only get a new filter and any gasket if required. This was the only video I found on alternative fuel ta k access, so many thanx.

Just to let anyone know thats watching i would not be / reccomend hitting anything with a hammer or metal screwdriver that could cause a spark on top of the fuel tank.

Mechanic changed the pump but only connected one of the pipes. He completely blocked he other pipe connection. Is this safe? What could be the implications of this?
