What do the wedges provide when installed in the block/water jacket? Is it a strengthening thing? When/why would it be beneficial to do such a task?
@graceenginedevelopments2 жыл бұрын
Exactly that mate, some engines with wide water passages can crack when you start pushing some boost in there, not all engines need this. You can fit full wedges which are very strong as well as pegs.

I see you use a digital torque wrench. Are they better than the old click type. Thinking about upgrading to a digital but not sure which to go for.
@graceenginedevelopments2 жыл бұрын
I really like them they use a pressure pad instead of a spring so they stay calibrated for longer, also the fact the display show 6 different settings is good.. it has a gyroscope for angles so you can ratchet it if room is a problem.

@@graceenginedevelopments James we have sold over 250 off those cams not had any issues shame the guy who posted it didn’t get a proper engine rebuilder to fit our cams. Theres been more than just 1 set damage the lifters probably about 25 now but they just get blocked from nevlock lol i got blocked and never even brought a thing from them 🤣🤣🤣
@graceenginedevelopments Жыл бұрын
Hi Alex, I got nevlock to send me a cam to test on my camshaft machine, the cam isn't a drive way fit, the acceleration rate is high to be honest so a change of spring is a must, good quality followers as well.. but you shouldn't fit a modified part without inspection of other parts, the cam profile has been checked elsewhere as well.. I've spoken to my customer about this as he supplied all the parts and we've decided to test them in the car, nevlock know our plans and are supporting the test. I'm sorry to read this you've had problems with them, they have always been good with me. Thanks for watching and your feedback.
