Vauxhall Zafira, Astra door locked, wont open FIX.

My Zafira had three locked doors and none of the local mechanics I spoke with were able to help. When looking into the problem I found these videos and sent Lee a message, he replied right away and we spoke on the phone to go through the problem. Lee was able to travel to my home a day later and fixed the problem in around an hour. Opened all the doors and then replaced the wiring on both sides so the problem won’t come back, with no damaged to the car at all. Lee was absolutely brilliant and if you have any Vauxhall problems then 100% give him a call. He probably saved me serious money as the other mechanics were suggesting ripping out the door interiors to remove the locks. Thank you so much for all your help Lee

Lee fixed my Zafira passenger door. The actuator was defective and after a lot of effort he got the lock working as good as new. He is a superb guy and does a fantastic job and is better looking than his bro (he told me to say that - lol) Thanks Lee

Just come to Lee now after having a nightmare with these doors!! Quick, efficient, knows his stuff… thanks Lee, even got a soaking doing the job but didn’t matter to him. So there was still an issue to get the doors opening properly and Lee didn’t give up and knows Vauxhalls like nobody’s business and sorted it out. Can’t speak highly of this guy, made a cuppa for me and he is one of those genuine people that isn’t after the money but the satisfaction of sorting the issue and seeing you happy! The front passenger door on my Zafira wouldn't open and my usual garage said that they would have to rip the interior panel off to access the electrics inside. I gave Lee a call after seeing his video and he assured me that he could fix the problem by changing the rear door loom. I took the car round to Lee's and got him to replace both rear door looms - it took him just over an hour and solved the problem completely. Great service, great price, really nice guy! Thanks Lee

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Had this very problem with my Astra. On trying to find a solution I came across this video. I bought the looms from Lee's eBay store and they were delivered promptly, great communication and great value. I then hired Lee to install them and service was fantastic. Thanks for doing this video. We have this problem on our older Zafira (2011) and unfortunately have the MOT in 2 weeks. The problem as you say is Vauxhall dealers will be quite expensive for this - so am trying to find someone in the Essex area who does similar work to what you have done. I had been suffering with this issue for over 24 months, both left-hand side passenger doors on my Zafira B intermittently failed to open from the outside. To open these doors, I had to enter the car from the driver side, close the door, push the lock button on the dash, then reach over and pull the handles for both doors. With two kids, this was a massive pain and actually quite dangerous in the event of an emergency. I knew I had this get this sorted. In the last 12 months the situation got worst, the front passenger door would permanently only open from the inside. The speakers at the back also began to slightly crackle, and the open-door warning light no longer illuminated when the rear doors were open. I took the car to numerous garages, some looked for free as part of other maintenance work. Others charged a fee for a diagnostic. Three separate garages said three different things, it’s the handle, it’s the lock, it’s the solenoid. Ultimately my car failed its recent MOT due to this issue so I knew I had to reach out to Lee. I actually found his KZbin videos a year ago, but at the time I just continued with the workaround. I rang Lee and it was immediately obvious he knows these cars inside out. We spoke about the issue, walked through the procedure I used to open the doors and he was certain the issue was the looms. I’m located in Hertfordshire, which is quite far from where Lee is based. At first Lee encouraged me to order the repair kit from e-bay to save me some money. But for me repairing car issues is not something I enjoy doing, and I’m not experienced with anything electrical so I really wanted Lee to sort this out for me. To reduce the cost (Fuel, Travel etc), I suggested that we meet half way and he was more than happy to oblige. After choosing a suitable location for us to meet, he quoted me one flat fee which included the repair of all four doors .inc parts (if required). Lee performed the work for me today, he’s a really nice and genuine guy. When he removed the original left-hand side looms (a few wires were completely broken, and others were on their way out) he showed me each damaged and broken wire and explained what each wire was responsible for. On this side, wires responsible for the locking mechanism were either damaged or broken. On the right-hand side, multiple wires were also broken. These were responsible for the notification system (door open light) interior light and speakers which explained all those issues I’ve noticed over the last 24 months. After he replaced both door looms all doors were functioning except the front passenger door. You could hear the lock spinning around; I have heard that sound every time I performed the workaround and because this has gone on for so long, We believe I’ve unfortunately completely worn out that lock. Lee then proceeded to take the door panel off and replaced the lock with a new one as part of the job which resolved the issue. All four doors including boot, were now 100% fully functioning inside and out. As a bonus Lee hooked up his laptop to the car, and showed me all the previous error codes and explained what each one means and what might be causing it. I only had 4-5 errors, most relating to recent repair work. He then cleared all the codes and reset everything back to factory settings. After that the job was complete, which took in total about an hour. For extra bonus points I mentioned to Lee an existing issue that the driver side electronic window switch panel doesn’t work (its been an on-going issue for years). We tried it again and it still didn’t work. It just so happened Lee had a spare and he kindly replaced it for no extra charge! I was delighted! that has been a real pain at drive-throughs etc. So, all and all, after 24 months this issue is finally fixed. I highly recommend Lee’s services, top-man, great price. Please don’t hesitate like I did if you have this issue, (you may end up doing more damage in the long run) please reach out to Lee his number is in the Video, if you live far away, I’m sure you can work something out that suits both of you. I’m gonna be ordering both looms of you on eBay later when I’m home. I’ve got the door card off ready for smashing the door mechanism to bits at the weekend lol. Like I said I’ve repaired the broken wires and I can feel the mechanism moving when pressing lock and unlock on the fob but can’t feel anything when pressing lock a 2nd time for the dead lock

Hi, My wife has a 2015 Vauxhall Meriva B. We've had a problem with the rear doors not locking correctly on reaching 4 MPH. This then sets off an error light on the dash and a warning chime. We normally get around this by opening the back doors and turning the child locks off then on again, this lasts for about two or three starts then happens again. It's a common problem with this car which I should have had looked at. Last week the rear passenger would not open from outside or the inside (child locks). I've had an auto electrician out who has checked out the wiring and confirmed that the lock is getting the signals to open/lock but the electronic catch is not working. The problem is that if the door won't open the catch can't be removed or replaced. Do you think you might be able to help with this situation? Regard, Alan.

@@lnelson233 Lee, thanks so much for coming to my house today and getting the locked door open and fitting a new lock. The car is perfect now, it's like having a new car! My wife and I despaired of ever finding someone to sort out this problem for us. We had to take the radio fuse out to stop the chimes. As you know this also removed the parking sensors, indicator chimes, time, date and temperature displays. Radio, CD & USB, so all in all it was a bloody nightmare! You sorted it all out in around an hour and charged me peanuts! So if anybody is reading this Lee is the man to go to with Vauxhall problems. He's a maestro! Thanks again. 👍👍👍👍
