Any information regarding which size ring crimp lugs I should use? 8mm hole but how thick is the wire? 6mm/10mm/16mm squared?.

Okay so I was gonna do this job today. However when I tested the temperatures I was getting about 20 degrees Celsius on the positive terminal but getting 70-90 degrees on the negative!. So it seems the negative is the faulty one on mine? But I am not confident that there is enough cable length to do the negative in the same way you have done the positive in this video. Maybe I should try the trick of drilling the standard connector and filling with solder? It worked for another fella in the comments. Two extra smaller ring terminal connections are also on the negative terminal on my 2012 1.6 petrol Zafira (earths running to the alternator or starter or both, I assume, maybe its a bad earth that is causing the problem?). I've got an earth lead coming in the post because I have seen a Polish fella fix his bad Zafira connection by running an earth strap from the Negative terminal and bolting it to the engine block. Erm.. gonna try again tomorrow, but atleast I can give my battery a proper charge on my charger tonight.

Hello I have the same car and I need to change the terminals but I'm curious about the positive wires on all the other videos I watch there usually only 1 positive wire and 1 negative can you tell me why this has 2 positive wires connected to the terminal please thanks

It all depends in the model and the fuse box locations, vauxhall usually sends a + from the battery to the starter motor and also a + to the main fuse box both joined at the terminal, other models have one + from the battery to the fuse box then to starter etc, Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠

So from reading the comments it appears that the ring connector lug size needed should be a 25mm2 with 8mm hole also known as SC25-8. Thats what it is on the diesels atleast.

Btw the terminal is a sc25 I used a 10mm hole but is bit big so say must be a 8mm hole

Hi can this be the same for the Earth lead ? it take my zafira ages to start then the battery goes flat, ive put new battery on it still get the same problem
