As a musician and lover of this film and the music, I know all the backgrounds - including some of the singers and also the organist who wrote the movements for the chorale: None of the actors sang in the film! They were professional singers. Daniel Brühl´s (Arbo´s) voice comes from a famous countertenor. A lot of time was spent getting the voices to sync with the actors' mouth movements, and it wasn't easy. But the result is brilliant, right?
