Hey man! I love the build, BUT... Huge words of advice... Do not cut or trim anything else on the body until the body is properly mounted together because things will shift more than you think when its properly bolted in. I buy build rebuild exotics for a living and deal with fiberglass a lot so trust me on it. It will save you lots of time and hassle by waiting till its bolted up to make trimming adjustments

Love watching the build, kutos to you for building this project yourself...I'm waiting to see what the details are on the Vaydor/Corvette setup... supposed to be more of a direct bolt on kit...good luck and keep the video logs going.

Can't wait for final results. Remember if you ever get tired or frustrated take a break or a vacation cause sometimes you can get Soo overwhelmed that you feel like giving up. 👍

Looking good so far, very valuable information for us who haven't started our project yet.

Just wondering what size bolts you finally used to drop the steering wheel down?

Good idea waiting to fit the gas cap, there's no rush. little tip: an 'abrafile' might be useful for cutting out those awkward curved corners (it's pretty much a round blade for a jr hacksaw) Keep up the great work, and videos dude!

What about a metal frame all around the inside lip of trunk and a frame around the trunk lid? That way both has a lot of support and strength
@gabrielgalaxygh6 жыл бұрын
You should look Into the starry night led strip for the trunk line, its a diffused led look and Its has sequential turn signals. Would look insanely clean on the back

I’ll actually be doing something very similar

I wonder why the door isn’t fitted to the rest of the body... seems like you still have some work but it’s coming along greatly
@PittsburghVaydor6 жыл бұрын
Yeah very odd, I’ll figure it out though
@Lucasishot1006 жыл бұрын
I agree its coming along greatly but definitely some tricky parts!

Can you use a 350Z as well for the donor car? Are you staying with the original engine?
@PittsburghVaydor6 жыл бұрын
no you cant, just the g35 coupe, and yes but ill be modifying it
@punkinsgarageandpaint82996 жыл бұрын
Pittsburgh Vaydor I thought the 350z was the same car. Shows how much I know.

Do you think it would be better to build it myself or buy the whole thing pre-built

Depends on how much you want to spend

Why are you having a hard time finding a Welder? Are they scared because of liability reasons?
@PittsburghVaydor6 жыл бұрын
Not sure, there aren’t many welders in my area so it’s hard to find one
@SCUBAjoeshow6 жыл бұрын
I might have skipped through, but what's the update with the welding?

PLEASE don't cut that door until you're 100% sure it needs to be done. Seems weird they would've purposely made the door incorrect so check your forums before messing w/ that. Love the vids, though!!!
@PittsburghVaydor6 жыл бұрын
I’ll be doing a ton of research on it and contacting vaydor before I cut anything off the doors to be 100% certain

when you make a line to cut..... don't cut on the line. Give yourself a little space.

That door gap is rough
@PittsburghVaydor6 жыл бұрын
Ya I know, it’s a very very rough test fit, it’ll be much better when I mount it permanently
