That and when you batte him a 2nd time at the Fire Sanctuary, his form changes the next time both Him and Link clash. It really starts to make ya wonder IF he's more than just a Demon Lord beneth the surface. (This would definetly start throwing in clues about his true mission, identity and WHY he's so adamant on kidnapping Zelda at the start of the game!)

He’s become his true form again…He took the form of a humanoid being when he first met link cause he’s gotta keep a low profile and not stick out…But as soon as his plans kept getting thwarted over time his appearance started reverting to his true form…He’s similar to Fi…except his duty other then being the sword of the demon demise…His purpose is to ressurect his master by using the soul of the goddess…and Fi is the opposite. Protect the goddess Hylia and stop the ressurection of demise from ever happening. I compare Fi and Ghirahim like the Yin and Yang…opposites, but serve a similar purpose.

does it bug anyone else that Ghirahim's teleportation reappear sound effect only plays when you fight him and when he kidnaps Zelda. I get Nintendo leaving it out when you first meet him, so that he is able to get the infamous tongue over Link's shoulder, but during the Fire Sanctuary encounter, it doesn't make sense since Link and the player know Ghirahim's antics now.

@@kylebroflovski8656 probably cause that sword was more skilled and powerful in taking down that force field of impa’s…That or he only used that sword for weaker purposes…If you notice every time link fights Ghirahim the swords change…the first fight he uses 1…second fight he duel wields, the third fight he uses 1 with the power to skyward strike…and then he switches to a double handed sword… shows that every time he fails he tries a new approach! Gotta love Ghirahim for always trying to up his game

One problem I had with this game and some of the other Zelda antagonists over the years was that the cut scenes for this char (and Vaati, for another example) ridiculously overstate these characters' supposed in-character power as opposed to their game mechanic power when you finally face them. Take, for example, all the warping around that Ghirahim does... even close proximity INSTANT striking distance BEHIND Link! 10:20 What's more to show??? Ghirahim needs only a knife and one quick slide across Link's neck, and Link falls dead in a red puddle, and without so much as a swing of a sword, Zelda/Goddess needs a new warrior! I know, I know... some would say Ghirahim and others might be too proud for that... I say RUBBISH! It killed a little bit of the reason to play those respective games, for me.
