Great to see you show some of those Bob Stanley & Pete Wiggs comps. I’m going to show that Tea & Symphony comp DLP in my next video along with the similar Come Join my Orchestra box set from Grapefruit. Excellent! Take care, John.

Yes I saw the Tea & Symphony perched in a recent video of yours. Look forward to hearing your thoughts. I have loads of the 3 CD clam shell releases from Cherry Red and Ace labels. I will probably do a video just on CD comps in the future. Cheers Dale

@@gatefold33 Hi Dale, yes there have been so many great Cherry Red comps lately. Almost too many to keep up with! Best wishes, John.

Hey Dale, thanks for reaching out, glad to see you've started up here on the VC. Welcome! I had to start on this video since you were showing English Weather - I bought a copy very cheap the other week but am yet to spin. I've been a Saint Etienne fan for quite a while, and have been looking at their Ace comps the past few weeks after nabbing that. They always chose great covers for their b-sides and seem to me to be consummate music fans. I can understand your logic on buying comps re: flow (and likewise buying CDs for the same reasons). Outside of English Weather, which other Stanley/Wiggs comp or comps do you think flow together the best? Your lockdown routine sounds similar to mine except you're putting way more videos out! Great stuff Dale, have subbed. Cheers- Dean

Hi Dean, I hope you enjoy the English Weather as much as I do. I think Paris in the Spring flows well, as does the Tim Peaks set that Bob did with Tim Burgess recently. Cheers Dale

The English Weather comp should be government issue this weekend in the UK to help everyone forget that it is so sunny and warm while we need to stay home. LOL I was sent a couple of interesting compilations by Hedley in the VC. Do you know Hedley? He calls his channel 'Another Fat Bearded Man Talking About Records'. Anyway he sent me Horn Rock And Funky Guitar Grooves and also Cosmic Country. They are both very good and they have brought many artists and songs to my attention that I probably would have missed otherwise.

Hi John, I know the horn rock one, I nearly bought it but you have to show some restraint! Not familiar with the others. Yes I have passed through Hedley's channel before. Thanks Dale

Hi Dale. I have just found your channel and particularly enjoyed this video. Do you have the Wiggs/Stanley compilation Gather in the Mushrooms? Another excellent cd that flows really well.. Saint Etienne are a great band too, the album Tiger Bay is highly recommended.

Hi Paul, glad you enjoyed the video. Yes I have the CD of Gather in the Mushrooms and agree it does flow well. I need to check out that Saint Etienne album, I have a greatest hits CD plus Foxbase Alpha, So Tough and the brilliant How we used to Live on vinyl. Thanks Dale

@@gatefold33 Funnily enough I'm listening to Tea and Symphony. It's a real grower, like English Weather. Wiggs and Stanley are absolute genius's when it comes to compilations. Really looking forward to Occasional Rain. Anyway, glad to have discovered your channel and will be watching all your other videos. Another couple of compilation recommendations, Milk of the Tree and Dust on the Nettles.
