not saying leo isnt leo but in the first match you can watch Jesuischoq (?) lose mental under shield pressure. Leo exploits this for the rest of the set. Not a single Stone Form, even when leo was 140%, off stage, low, and underneath. A single Inhale facing the wrong way. Leo started spamming counters for fun and Kirby has a command grab. I feel like leo was honestly throwing here but Kirby tried too hard to stick to basics and found too much difficulty finishing stocks. Kirby has some of the worst airspeed in the roster, I saw too much jumping for my like. Leo chose not to counter Kirby's recovery until very last stock and I think this is proof of what I'm saying: Leo dismantled Jesuischoq (?) game 1 and then waited almost 8 stock to see his response. the match was honorable, but leo could have gone faster, harder, cheaper, if he wanted. I hope to see this Kirby more.

Kirby bullies Joker onstage because tilt frame data for Kirby is godlike and Kirby can hella edgegaurd Joker with Dair whether or not he has Arsen. His disadvantage is real bad against Joker, but that's true for most of the cast. But his advantage against Joker is nothing to scoff at.

@@williamkeith1180 Kirby gets combos off of grab like forward throw fair to regrab for an easy 30% that's true. Kirby can ledge trap with nair frame 10. Kirby Bair kills sub 100 near ledge and is frame 6. Movement is an issue but as long as Kirby stays grounded his run speed isnt that bad. Jumping around Kirby is risky since up-tilt is fast and a disjoint. Ducking negates those strong raising aerials that Joker has so he has to commit to landing on Kirby which you dont want to do since Kirbys throws gain him stage control. All of Kirbys smash attacks are extremely strong and fast. Up smash is frame 12 and once again a disjoint. And you can combo f smash from fair 1. Plus inhale and getting bullets makes neutral so much easier.

His strings really aren’t that ridiculous, he has one 50% combo that doesn’t even work all the way on joker because of rebel’s guard. Joker has way better combos, more reliable, higher damage, less strict, etc.

@@quantumstormgames2741 yes yes i know, they arent as reliable, why i called them strings. well ok, he's got fthrow to fair stuff. but he has strings and set ups everywhere outside of that. he has a lot of moves that leave him close enough to keep a lot of pressure or react to options. he has weak hit nair which works like foxes at varying %s. also has first hit fair to kill/follow up until around 110 depending on weight. nair and others have the Potential to knock on to platform for easy tech chase. fair plane off stage(string of course). dtilt can trip, if not, it true combos into specific moves at specific percents, could just dtilt twice or dtilt ftilt. he also has really cool combo options post buff where he can get varying levels of % off of varying characters under platform. ex. fthrow→uair→utilt→ftilt fthrow→uair→fair fthrow→uair→fthrow its all pretty specific, but it gives kirby this minefeild of follow ups up until 110% depending on weight. he also has really fast tilts and jab so once he gets to pressure, he really can. but of course, where as other characters have actual combos or get to nair on shield for free, kirby relies on you making the right decisions and getting good rewards which also rely on more good decisions. nothing free, part of why i wouldn't say he's top tier ever, but not garbage tier either.

There were a few times when Leo was going to use it and I knew he would, and then he did. But in reality it's really hard to punish because it's so committal to punish it and if you get it wrong you give them Arsenne back... and you only get one punish before the Joker player switches up when they use it anyway.

Because it's dumb to only choose top tier characters to play especially when some people like to actually have fun in the game. Leo doesn't think Joker is the best character in the game yet he plays him because not only is he clearly good, but also because he feels like the move set of joker perfectly fits his style. You can't just diss on certain characters (besides little mac) just because they aren't high tier, Kirby is a character just like anyone else so if a very good player wants to play kirby then just let them man. Maybe they like the character, or maybe it's the character they have the most fun with.

His name is Jesu, one of the best Kirbies in the world. Up guns, counter vs his recovery, Arsene, etc can make this MU pretty free for Joker. If Jesu had landed a neutral B it might've helped but it only takes so many interactions to get Kirby offstage

Being a kirby player means you have to have a mastery of his normals in order to maximize damage output. F smash is most reliable kill option. However side B gets the job done way earlier. If you can predict your opponent's timing and landing options.

I disagree with Jesuischoq being the best kirby player in the world 😐. He plays great like his gameplay is good but I like Jejajeja kirby better. Jejajeja gets more aggressive with it and I've seen a bunch of videos of him competing. Idk

@@catandgrouper4760 This Kirby didn't look like he was playing the MU correctly... he's got his normals and his aerials down well but he opted to try combos that aren't true too and gave leo free meter instead of mixing up into Inhale, Side-b, or going for a safe reset. Kirby still needs mix-ups, and in this MU, Joker can die very easily for it for trying his normal "get out of jail free" options. The kirb kind of just got "top-playered" or just lacks the MU experience, in any case they should not have repeatedly gone for untrue combos and should have mixed up to take stocks and get actual extension off of Leo constantly using Rebel's guard instead of just swinging at it.
