My grandmother sang this song almosy everyday to my grandfather. And he would join in on his harmonica and little me dancing and tapping my feet😂. I enjoyed my Sunday evenings as a child growing up in Jamaica. Sunday Evenings were spent listening to oldies and relaxing with my grandparents. I miss them so much, may they continue to rip.

Right a day after Mighty Sparrow's 89 birthday. He said it's kind of music I will surely appreciate. Yes I remember this song when I was 14 years old. Later when I was 19 years old I had a good buddy who was in love with a wild woman and when ever she gave him the horn we used to frequent Louise Corke's bar (that was in Georgetown St.Vincent and the Grenadines) and he would play this song on the jukebox all night till we both got drunk. Sadly mt friend passed away last year and I believe the woman is also deceased. Sparrow also recorded several tunes that are not calypso. He is a very versatile singer.

I'm very sure alot of guys can relate to this song because it really is a terrible crushing feeling when you are head over heels over a woman you were talking to whom you would have loved to make your significant other but however she winds up choosing the another dude you.
