I saw this so many times as a kid because it was one of the very few movies I had in my VHS collection. The shot of the B29 flying over SF and into the sunset is gorgeous. I wanted to be one of the kids flying in that B29.

Many years after it was out at the cinema it's still an altime family classic. It has everything that does make one great film with a great song. And for many of us fans of young Ricky Schroder who we all got to know as T J in the Champ. This film has a lot of meaning.

Thrilling song. Here the lyrics: If I were a star, a tiny star You'd be my starlight Half of me is me The other half of me is you If I were a bird, a tiny bird You'd be my wings For only half of me is me The other half of me is you Reaching out, and touching hands Is a way of sharing Having faith and caring Will always see us through If I were a tree You'd be my root We'd grow together Half of me is me The other half is you

I can hardly believe I could find this song. I went to this Disney movie in 1980 with my niece and my dad and all these years I remembered this song . Alexandra Brown was a fine singer who performed this song beautifully. It would have been nice if more people knew of her but we still have the good memories. Thanks to whoever posted this beautiful song!

This was a fun, lesser known Disney movie that was graced by the versatile Genevieve Bujold, the magic of Maurice Jarre's music score and this wonderful song he wrote with Hal David, sung by the talented Alexandra Brown. I could listen to it over and over again and I already have.

We are watching it now on Sky Disney. The song has an old-fashioned feel to it. Typical '70s. We love it. Great movie.

this song remins me that one of these days all real evil will vanish from the world and true love will bound and be plentiful. as even evil people can be redemed unless they are extremeley evil .

Es gibt eine Version des Films, deren Intro von einer deutschsprachigen Sängerin gesungen wurde und die eine schönere Stimme hatte. Weiß irgendjemand, wer das war und wo man diese Version bekommt?
