I was amazed when I got mine that it didn’t have a modulation matrix. I talked to them about it in detail and now it has one! It’s not perfect, but it’s evolving. I’m really impressed by them. They really do listen.

I once had an Ensoniq FIZMO for a decade and just loved the multiple loop points of the digital transwave samples. I bought the Hydrasynth hoping it would deliver that kind of sound but so far it has alluded me (I need to dig in more) but the Vector has done the FIZMO one better and it might be on my birthday list. Beautiful fully digital sound. Thanks for the review.

I agree with you about FX being part of the combined sound. Instead of long verb/delay tails, a little bit of fx like chorus, ringmod, etc can be the very defining character of a good synth sound.

Seems like a pretty nicely designed digital synth, nice video! An analog analog exists for this too (though monophonic [can be 3 voice]) in the form of the Motas-6 (pretty cool synth).

Likely DUMB question, but: this is a totally different animal than the GR MEGA or Tasty Chip's other synth, the GR-1, right? Daylight and dark? Last question: I guess that's the VERSION 2 PAD, there in front of the Vector? As opposed to the SEABOARD 2, for example, I"m trying to figure out HOW on Earth you'd "PLAY" the pad like you would the SEABOARD. Thanks.
